Wrecked my Hilux on Tuesday.  It's almost as old as Martin so no point in investing money on it.  Faithful steed!

Just took the tags off.  Now I gotta find someone to buy it. Engine runs great!   Solid rubber and new battery.

Lies! I will fix it :). Sorry to see that Gas, it looks  like you need to pull the fender brace a bit, hood is touched as well , maybe rad support. I can understand how you feel. It sucks.

BTW: what did you hit, RPG ?

hahaha....   I rear-ended the person in front of me when the person in front of them panicked on amber.  Fortunately they had a tow bar and ball, so I didn;t damage them at all.

Gaz, that doesn't look too bad, just a bumper? Must be one around somewhere....

It's an old vehicle and though it runs well, I'm pretty sure that is more than 5k in damages.

Me and my new Ute at the dealership.  UteThat's Aussie, for car or small truck made to carry stuff.  To translate into American English that means Ranchero or El Camino to F250.

Yes, that's really me...  I look nothing like Marty Feldman.

Father and son jeeps, I couldn't talk him into a 2 door like pop. More room for fun and shanagins in the 4 door I guess. Mine has the 3.6 Six while his is the new Turbo 4 cylinder, its really fast and peppy, you would be hard  pressed to tell it was 4 cylinder! he wants to build it up starting with the base model and adding things like larger tires, rims etc., great fun.

Looks like a nice ute Gaz. So is that called a Hilux too or something else?

Carl

It's the model.  Toyota Hilux.  Maybe they're called something else in other countries?

Those two are looking great, congratulations. Your sons reminds me to take off the hard top off mine with summer approaching. Mine has both tops. I really like the refined look of the JL Jeeps and I definitely would like to have the new 8 gear automatic shift for mine (manual shift would be even better, but is no option on the better equipped Jeeps), but I bought one of the last JK's on purpose, it looks more old school Jeep and has less electronics on board and last but not least, I fell in love with it on a long trip through the south eastern states of the US some years ago. Driving 6000 miles from Louisiana to North Carolina, always with the open top, enjoying the dust of the road, the wind and the sun.

Cheers Rob

Nicely picked-up Gaz...

Look after her, don't let it get like this one...IMG_20200522_165154.thumb.jpg.a8142633590ea066173d1833f1ac9ac1.jpg

Ok, wasn't sure if they changed the name.

We only get the Tacoma here in North America which is a completely different vehicle from the Hilux.
