Got ya! Just go slow and work on the Viggen when time and mood allows. It's a tough build and the cammo scheme is off the chart - just looking so good.

Keep 'em comin

Peter

Yes Peter indeed.

You have to need  the mood and i will finish this.

The camo is a challenge but the best one to put on this plane.

Looking mighty good. I'm hoping once done, it's back to the B-24.

Keep 'em comin

Peter

Thanks Peter! That's the plan, get this done and then back to the B-24. At least before I lose the canopy again.

Speaking of getting done, I added the last few parts to the Valkyrie, mostly small details and the gun pod.

I have a few decals left and then she's done.

Looking mighty good and a perfect plan. In between builds or even in between stages, I’m now putting small parts and assemblies in plastic containers with lids and labeling the container, so I don’t keep losing parts. At 74, it’s easy to lose anything

Keep ‘em comin

Frankly, even the British and French worst designs of the 30’s were beauty pageant winners compared to this … contraption 🤮

Which does not detract from your work, Carl ;)

Thanks Hubert!

The standard version of the Valkyrie is more like an F-14:

Personally the Strike version is my favourite but it's certainly not a sleek looking plane.

Here she is all done.

Making some progress on the Comet and diorama.

Got all the storage from Panzerart painted and attached. Quite happy with how it looks given my lack of experience of brush painting stuff like this.

Just trying out positions for the infantry and commander. The riders are from the ICM set and the headless commander is the Alpine Miniatures kit. Now we discover how bad my figure painting skills are. Last figure I painted was a white metal 1/12 figure of a RN gunner back after the Falklands war in '82, so 40 years ago!

Also got an old picture frame and some air-dry clay, so I'm planning to make a start on the base soon.

Awesome progress on the Comet, Gus, I really like the bits and pieces on the back of the tank. Nice job on painting these.

Cheers Rob

Thanks fellas. I'll try and do a thread for the rest Martin. It just started off as something to fiddle with while I procrastinated about starting the NMF P-47 but it's grown arms and legs as I've got into it and I'm really enjoying pushing my envelope.
