I did that as well, changed the shape etc. but they're in off-set configuration, no way it can be done without a complete redesign . Expand That;s funny, because last night I grabbed a bunch of aluminium tubing and went to garage to cut and shape them . The problem was the thermal distortions of the aluminium itself . So I opted for plastic tubes glued to place and supported by resin putty that is strong enough to retain the strength of the fuselage and soft enough to sand and scribe into. Preliminary sanding , material is not cured yet. I would say another 24 hours until the plastic sets in.now I have a great starting point 9

Expand Wet sanding helps a lot in reducing heat build up when sanding the ali tube. If you have a size handy which will slide into your plastic tubes, a light greasing with vaseline or similar would allow you to build up the rear edge of your cannon troughs with some superglue and plastic power from all the sanding, and then sand it back to a curved edge as seen below. 4

Well I was filling the gaps with superglue and one wheel was over filled If there is anybody who is willing to help me and pass me your spare Tamiya hub, please let me know. 5

After a small break from models, I had a chance to clean up the nose section and to start some preliminary work on the wheel bays. The width is slightly narrower than the real thing so I could anchor the legs into it's original location holes. 6

Still needs bunch filling and sanding, brake lines, pressure cylinders , only the visible detail. I painted in order to see the uglies From the pictures above is visible how sharp edged is the nacelle profile. The kit's one is too rounded. Not a biggie, although I will direct same attention towards the fuel dumps that are heavily undersized. 4

Expand It is from this book . But frankly , there are so many mistakes that has been carried over from previously published materials that I making my own , based on photographs. Martinnfb Posted April 5, 2019 Author Posted April 5, 2019 Last night I had a bit of time to play with this kit, so I cut out the opening for the ladder and reworked this area a bit. This morning I was able to snug in the guns. There is only one picture that shows this detail and it seems that they are slightly protruding from the blast tubes. If not? ,,,, well, we won't tell anyone 6
Martinnfb Posted April 6, 2019 Author Posted April 6, 2019 Big squishy thanks to Carl for saving my bacon and sending me the Mosquito rim again. White glue was used as a gap filler. Great capillary action and long drying time makes it ideal in situations like this. 3
