ha ha it's one of those 'i know it's wrong and now can't ignore it' things

landing gear looks awesome! I tried to fit the Eduard gear on my new Revell Mk.II kit and it's a real fight, since the rake of the MkIX gear was different. My gear ended up being to far splayed out and after seeing these pics i might just trash mine and start again (I have a few other Revell Spits in my stash and mine has not been a pleasurable build so doubt i will build another) Anyway, really loving the progress on this venerable old kit! wonderful! a stunningly gorgeous build my one gripe: the "100" decal with garland around it where it goes over a chord / pipe on the port side; surely it needs cutting / something to make it sit in the groove. apart from that, simply awesome.

I hope you manage to progress with this. one thing I could never work out was whether the Gs (or even Ds) has the window down through the cockpit and out under where the bomb cradle was / is? I have that Classic Pubs Stuka book you showed but it was pretty poor at confirming such basic detail I recall (haven’t looked at it for years). Anyway, hope the project does come to fruition for you. Nick

i am not surprised there is no 1/32 kit of this (or the Fulmar) but there is something quite quirky i like about both these aircraft

stunning finish! the supercharger intake grill should not be there btw sorry - that's a common mistake; the museum 152 had it and now everyone thinks it is a production item

i love the ultra matt finish and the way you have made a monotone finish interesting the only let down are the wheels - the centre seam line shows up and could have done with some AM replacements, given the quality of the rest of the kit and what you have done to it thanks again for sharing Nick

yes me too i'd be interested in seeing a pic of the actual parts when the time comes you never really know what you are going to get with CAD...

i am very very much an outsider in that i had quite a lot of these kits on two occassions and each time offloaded then realising that i was never going to build things with all that rigging they are still beautiful kits though! so to the extnet that i am not 'emotionally invested' in the WNW / WWI modelling area, here is my take.... the price, well, is the price, so only time will tell what sales will do but one thing that drives me nuts is websites that show a price, show shipping, then you go to check out and THEN they suddenly spring VAT on the whole thing they should be upfront about that sort of thing and if anyone says oh it depends what country you are in as to what rate you pay, then the website should detect your IP address this is fairly basic stuff in the retail world or failing that, just ask you to select your location when first accessing the website but for those moaning about the prices, well, you were warned - it's not like this all sprung up overnight we had what, 5 years plus of free shipping...? i just wish there had been a more effective way of dodging the thief tax imposed by the post office for collecting the other tax imposed by HMRC!
