  1. Nice! AFV modeler sells a corrected sprocket for this kit. https://www.afvmodeller.com/product/corrected-drive-sprockets-to-fit-trumpeter-116-m1a1-abrams/
  2. Thanks, I hope to be building again soon.
  3. I agree, CSM is a great company. I am always looking forward to their next release. I will always buy from them...unless they make a Spitfire. Their accessories look very tempting!
  4. I'd be interested in the Dewoitine D520 in 1/32.
  5. Took me a moment to notice that there was a warthog seated behind her!
  6. This came today, finally, after some very sketchy tracking by my USPS "Informed Delivery" account, It actually updated and showed that it was delivered. No tracking updates for a week never showing that the package was accepted or scanned! I was expecting to contact The Bros. Sprue about a lost shipment! Anyway, from Copper State Models, it's their Garford-Putilov Armoured Car (CSM 35009) in 1/35. This is one of three boxings of this kit. Mine is the Russian service one. Anyway, the Garford Putilov was a WW I armored car built by the Russians on an American Garford truck chassis. This thing weighed about eleven tons and had only 30 horsepower to move it around! CSM produces a bunch of subjects that no other kit maker offers. I like that, and the kits are very well done. I've been waiting to buy this kit for some time....since it was announced.
  7. Still awestruck! The details and skillful painting and weathering make the equipment look so realistic! This is beyond model making it's art!
  8. I remember building a lightning years ago....I was building mostly WW 2 Japanese aircraft in 1/48 then so the lightning was a bit of a departure... I just thought it was a cool subject. I think it was a Hasegawa kit in 1/72. The scale also a departure. I'm sad to hear that the Trumpeter kit has problems, as I kind of had my eye on that one. Anyway, I'll be following your build of this unique aircraft!
  9. Turned out great, Peter! Enjoyed following your build.
  10. Oh, I don't know, ........the rugged angularity of these groundbreaking little tanks appeals to me! Actually, my stash is confined to a walk-in closet In a small bedroom... admittedly quite full.
  11. More items today: First, from Takom, their French light Tank Renault Ft Char Canon/Berliet Turret (No.1003) in 1/16 scale. I've been looking for this kit for some time. The Girod or cast turret is easy enough to find but the Berliet turret version of this kit with its riveted plate turret is not so easily found. I know of only one place that sells this kit and its in Hong Kong! Anyway, I'm happy to have found it. The kit comes with a 1/16 resin figure. Nice! Also today, another set of Friulmodel tracks. This time their ATL-168 French R 35. I'm hoping these will fit the Tamiya kit. The Tamiya kit has excellent link & length tracks that happen to be very tiny. I think it will be nice to fit these tracks to the Tamiya kit for the added weight .
  12. Today more Friulmodel tracks; their ATL-01 for T-54/55/62. Purchased for my Tamiya T-55a. Always out-of-stock before, I found these. Now, once again, out of stock at Sprue Brothers. The Tamiya kit is nice, but I think these tracks are needed to bring out its full potential. Anyway, more items coming this week.
  13. Thanks for the review. I visited the Plusmodel website and found a lot of interesting stuff! I was not aware of this Manufacturer before.
  14. That's one bulldozer that looks like it means business! Very well-done and an interesting subject for sure! Thanks for sharing; Paul
  15. Sorry to hear of the mix up....hope the seller resolves the issue.
  16. More today from AFV modeller. For my DasWerk StuG. In 1/16, some aftermarket resin. StuG.III Radio Racks (16067) andTwo of their StuG III stowed Mp 40 (16053). The kits' radio stuff looks fine but the AFV racks have more detail and include the various electrical boxes that are missing in the kit. Also, the Mp 40 include their mounting brackets. These are missing from the kit.
  17. The initial Takom MK IV tracks were awful multi-piece nightmares. Later, they offered replacement one-piece snap together tracks that are very good. In later boxings these are included. Their two-in-one MkIV Male/female kit has these, their Mk I kits, their Mk V kit, and their Tadpole Mk IV also have the snap tracks. I was lucky to find a couple of these track sets that I can use on the earlier releases. The Takom Whippet also has good snap-together tracks.
  18. Another set of tracks from Friulmodel. This time; their Atl-63 Merkava MK 1/2. Apparently, these were meant for the old Tamiya kit, but I'm hoping that I can use these on the Takom Merkava Mk 1 kit. The link & length tracks in th Takom kit are fine, but because the way the upper hull is made in the kit requires that the builder build-up, and paint the tracks and lower hull prior to joining the upper and lower hulls.... I don't want to do this. I figure I could easily thread the Friul tracks into position after the kit is fully assembled. Well, we'll see about that. Anyway, you can probably see I'm enthusiastic about the availability of Friul tracks. I ordered a set of tracks for my remaining Tamiya T-55a kit. These were always out of stock when I built my first example of that kit.
  19. Saw this on The Modeling News website. Miniart's New M3 Stuart with interior. Looks like a real gem of a kit! https://www.themodellingnews.com/2024/02/preview-update-inside-out-of-miniarts.html#more
