  6. Carl Paint work is looking mighty good and glade you went with a white gray for the stripe. Sometimes it’s hard to see to subtle shades on a PC, laptop or iPad. Keep ‘em coming Peter
  7. Martin Awesome photographs - surely seems you covered just about everything Keep ‘em comin Peter
  8. Kai The light tan looks smooth as silk and I’m glad you decided to do the finish mostly clean as the photos. Any update on the the “scratch”? Keep ‘em comin Peter
  9. Carl Just be careful, they are addictive Keep ‘em comin Peter
  10. Carl Glad you found time in your schedule to put some time in on the U-Boat. Nice work on the white stripe, as it's there and blends in so well. Keep 'em comin Peter
  11. I'm still on the fence and in no rush to buy the kit. I did buy the HPH resin kit when it was first released when I was on the LSP forum and after the initial forum reviews and a few build threads, the consensus was the kit had a lot of short comings. I sold mine and never looked back. I going to hold tight until a few are underway on LSM and see how the kit builds. Keep 'em comin Peter
  12. Thanks Carl, very much appreciated. Believe me, once you have painted with a Winsor & Newton Series 7 brush, there is no going back and brush maintenance takes only a few minutes a couple of times a month. I was introduced the W&N paint brushes by a fantastic model railroader and figure painter Dave Revella - what an eye opener. Keep 'em comin Peter
  13. A 1/24th scale DR1 - now that's going to be something for sure. Keep 'em comin Peter
  14. Kev Looking so good with her decals on. At this point, I'm betting you can see the finish line. Keep 'em comin. Peter
  15. Tom Looking mighty good and some serious wing root gaps you are taking care of of so nicely. The size ... OMG❗ Keep 'em comin Peter
  16. Totally enjoying your builds and the Tomcats are looking mighty good. I'm a big fan of MRP paints and shoot them straight from the bottle unthinned with a H&S Infinity CR Plus, .2 tip at about 15 psi. Just courious as to your painting technique of thinning the MRP paint. Keep 'em comin Peter
  17. Much appreciated Phil Having work is number one and far out paces modeling. Just can't tell you how much I'm enjoying the F4 and finally having have nearly full use of my hands, the fun is back. Keep 'em comin Peter
  18. Thanks Mark - awesome kit and love the details and nearly perfect part fit. Keep 'em comin Peter
  19. Thanks Gaz Just feels great to be back up to speed with my hands - I spend a lot of enjoyable hours paint the front office and never frustrated once - now ain't that something. Keep 'em comin Peter
  20. Thanks Kai Much appreciated and right on the money - another gem by Tamiya. More then marvel at the gorgeous detail, a smile knowing my modeling therapy has worked wonders and I have almost the full use of my hands again. I've ordered the Kit World 3D seatbelt set and then will finish up the seats, which aren't installed according to the instructions until nearly at the end of the build. Getting ready for a tropical storm/hurricane tonight and tomorrow - nasty weather for sure. Keep 'em comin Peter
  21. Hi Ernie Ship modeling does absorb untold hours of time. Not even looking at the time component, the PE, even in 1/200 scale is an art unto itself. The 1/200 HMS Hood build I have been following is now close to being completed, magnificent work and with the full Pontos set and it's week 41!! I would love to devote a year to a build and it would have to be 1/350 scale as I have no room at the bench to build a 1/200 scale ship. Of course, at my age and hands, not sure I could handle the PE at all and without the full PE upgrade, the beauty of the larger scale ships are lost. Keep 'em comin Peter
  22. Martin Nice going - I didn't see it on the fret. Harv ... Going to be a great upcoming build ... I've already reserved my seat. 🍺🌭 Keep 'em comin Peter
  23. Thanks Carl for the info. I still have three 1/48 Tamiya F-14's in the stash and would welcome another few that allowed the flaps and slats to be dropped. I feel about Tomcats as I do F4's - just can't have enough. Keep 'em comin Peter
