Thanks Martin, that’s my engineering background coming out, well I hope so anyway. I also hate an untidy bench, so I probably spend more time clearing the bench and returning tools to their correct residencies than building…………

Thanks Rob, very pleased with the straps, I’m now into your territory as far as fitting everything without breaking other parts. The spraying schedule has been a nightmare, getting the correct order and not screw up previous work is a balancing act……….

Deadline looming so pushing on and hopefully I’ll make it. The hull is the the shop, too big for the booth so spraying in the garage. I love the AK camo putty………a tweak on the boat, last time I was at Telford, Eduard were giving away packs of AFV 1/35 straps and hold downs etc. so I thought why not……..

I’ve got a recollection that AVM Arthur “Bomber”Harris was stationed with these in the Middle East, well before Bomber Command….

I’m with Rob on this one as I been remiss of reading WIP’s. Stunning build as ever Peter and the speed of construction is amazing. Clean and tidy is an understatement. I too haven’t built any Spitfires and one 51D that being ZM so my knowledge is sparse. Saying that the 51 resides on the SOD due to not being happily with the NMF and OOB decals are good (Cartograf) but do not inspire me to finish…….wish in some ways that manufacturers would not include markings so the modeller can buy the preferred scheme………just an idea…….

This sneaked by me, stunning spit and only a week! You were presumably on holiday at the time……….now I’m going have to get a Spit……great photograph by the way…….

Congrats on a stunning build, the WIP was excellent, thank you…….you’re on a roll with the Airfix 24th series. One kit I’ve never seen finish is their 24th Mossie…..
