  1. That looks delicious. I need to try smoking fish on our Egg one day. I love fresh tuna, seared and sliced thin is just awesome.
  2. 8 in the morning on a slightly damp Sunday. Time to throw something on the BBQ. 9 lbs of hopefully tasty brisket this evening.
  3. I just did the same with Tamiya airbrush cleaner. It's gone up a bit but Great Hobbies has a flash sale and it's $8.49 a bottle CAD until tomorrow. Which is what, $5-6 USD? Basically almost all Tamiya is 15% off until then.
  4. Oh yeah, the minute I sit down I get prodded to pick her up. Thankfully at the moment her claws are short so they're not pricking me when she does that.
  5. More work at clearing some stuff off the bench. This time it's the Amusing Hobby E-100 tank. I did a quick mod so that side skirts are removable. Should make it easier to get the tracks on.
  6. Looks great Ernie. The gloss coat definitely seems to have solved the decal issue.
  7. Like Phil said, this build is progressing nicely.
  8. Thanks Bill. I knew about the fuselage issues but not the wing ones. They are fairly inexpensive so I might take the plunge.
  9. How are you finding the kit? It's one I've been interested in getting for some reason.
  10. Thanks Phil! Don't forget a gun barrel too. Well, I'm calling it done. Actually a fun kit to do. Not too complicated.
  11. Scammell? Oh, yeah the Scammell. I need to get back to that at some point. Thankfully I'm calling this one done.
  12. A recent kit release. LZ Models had a pre-order bonus of a resin driver and tires so I picked it up from them. The box got a bit smushed but the plastic is all good.
  13. A bit more done on the latest squirrel.
  14. Great start Peter. I think the ZM Skyraider was the first kit I built from them. For the wing fold, there is an update on the website to the instructions. I don't recall if I followed it or not, but did end up with working folding wings that actually worked like they're supposed to.
  15. Things have definitely come a long way.
  16. If the one from the old Revell kit would work, let me know and I'll drop it in the post for you.
  17. Martin, thanks for sharing the additional pics. The countryside looks beautiful. All the best to your family.
  18. Some absolutely stunning models and dioramas. Thanks for sharing Martin.
  19. With your skills John, i don't think you'd get better results with the Quinta set.
  20. They'll just draw red lines all over it and call it "fatally flawed".
  21. Thanks for sharing Maru. Glad to hear they're keeping as original as possible. Carl
  22. My Beat is small enough I could probably be buried in it and it wouldn't be much bigger than this.
  23. Tamiya has an extra Strong decal solvent now. I used it on my ZM F-4 IP decals and it gets them soft enough to conform around the various dials and buttons. If you've used enamel or lacquer for the clear coat, you could also try Tamiya X20A thinner. But it could cause severe wrinkling if you're not careful.
  24. Nor a Tomcat or Whirlwind or E100.
  25. Gary, great to hear about your first model returning to the hobby. Even better that you still have it. Z-32 still looks to be an impressive build. For me, I never really left the hobby. Even when I went overseas to study for a year, I somehow managed to find a hobby shop and build (and buy) kits. Still have some of them in the stash. The longest break was maybe a few months around when I got married. Or when our first son was born. Probably the latter.
