Sadly, you're probably right. -

Somewhere. Best proof of that is there's room for the chair underneath. -

That's the plan Phil. The bench is getting moved from the middle of the basement where it currently sits to one end. I'll be building a separate bench for painting too which should either: 1) create less mess on the building bench Or 2) let me make a bigger mess on the building bench due to more space. Hopefully it's the former. -

I haven't had much to contribute to the thread as well, everything is on my bench. The Corsair is under there somewhere along with everything else in the vicinity of my bench. That's due to the ongoing reorganization and renovation in the basement I'm hoping to finally get the renovation part done this weekend. Then I can finish the reorganization and finally get back to gluing bits of plastic together. -

Martin, are you kit bashing the Revell and Trumpy kits? -
Interesting to read that. I've only built the Dragon P-51 so will be curious to see more of this.

Hope that you find a job Rog.

I had the same vinyl Horizon Models kit. Mine wouldn't stay standing. The body always collapsed on itself due to the vinyl not being strong enough to support itself. There was one made by Argonauts that was partially resin but they were expensive when they came out and I can't imagine the price now if you could find one. I took a quick look in the box, it's seems to have decent detail to it. I'll definitely do a WIP when I get around to building it. Carl

I got a discount coupon to HLJ a little while back and used it to get some kits I probably wouldn't have otherwise. I went on a Space Battleship Yamato splurge and got a couple to add to the stash. Starting with a couple of their MechaColle box scale kits. The Dreadnaught has parts in it for you to connect their 1/1000 kit of the ship to the matching Andromeda and re-create a scene from the series. Speaking of the Andromeda, I got the most recent release of the kit which allows you to build any of the versions seen in the show. Then, I got the Final Battle version of Yamato herself. Up-armoured turrets and additional AA guns are the main differences. One more SciFi kit, and it's one of a classic subject. Well, classic if you grew up in the '80s. Nice to finally get a IM ED-209. Following Jeroen's Do-335 build, I grabbed one of the HK kits. Lastly, another 1/32 kit. I need to find more references on the tiger striped version included in the kit.

Glad you got it sorted out Harv.

Last of the V-8s.... Not really but it reminded me of that scene.

Great looking spitfire John. Up to your usual standards as always. That's for sure. -
Atlas Cheetah E Scaleworx Conversion

Man, to see the challenges you guys are having with the base kit is kind of disappointing. I've built their earlier F-104 kit and didn't have these sort of issues with it. Unless I did and they were so bad that I've blotted it from my memory. I'm still planning to get the Cheetah D conversion so I wonder if going to a 2 seater will be better or worse... Carl -

My sister's dog was the worst. Lovable but had a passive aggressive streak you would bit believe. She'd submit to my first dog who was half her size but on a walk, would shoulder check her into the road every chance she'd get. As for eating everything, no Semtex but everything was fair game. . Good on you Hubert for taking one for the team and helping to preserve matrimonial bliss. Me? I just get a head shake from Sue when large boxes show up. Although lately a number of the boxes have been for her so maybe that's why I've been skating by unscathed...

Martin, what is with your dog eating your models? I think you need to stop using beef scented cement. On a more serious note, any chance you can close the door to your workroom or have somewhere out of her reach? My dogs haven't shown any interest in my models thankfully so the worst I have to deal with has been fur in the paint. The squirrels on the other hand... -
Always nice to get a Grail kit. Carl

Looks like a great place to kick back and have a beer or three.
