Hannah hits 6 years this August I had to have operations on both her hind legs(knees) was about 3K worth in the first three years for a rescue dog from Fl my Sis found for me.I figured God gave her to me for a reason and shucking my responsibility was not in the cards it makes me smile when I see her run.

Not really a hobby persay but it is slowing me down on the F-86 ATTM.I built my shop all by myself(90%) for the most part and most of the shop is treated lumber spare the door, fire dams and the sheathing OSB under the Hardy Plank and even that was treated with Copper Tox from the ground 4' up for termites. The little bastards hit the door again this will be the third frame and second door! The doors run minimum of $180 in my area steel with wood on the edge for the hinges this was a No Go this time I decided to build my own.I stopped off at Dedeaux Clan has all kinds of woods locally and p/u some Aromatic Cedar $175 worth. The door will be standard 1 3/4" thick on the edges with a 1" solid core it's coming along well the whole frame will be treated also this go round Frick these bugs.

Hannah she's a Black Mouth Curr(60lbs) mix she's a sweet heart were I go she goes my shadow.I was originally looking for an Anatolian Shepard female I think females are better protectors. My last dog Raven(female) of 18 1/2 years was from a show dog a Chesapeake Retriever mated with a Black Lab by mistake she was 85lbs full grown and a very good protector but could be a little aggressive if you walked the lawn and she did not know you.Well,My son had left for the service(2016) Raven passed, brother and father-in-law all in 4 months time. The house was to quite so the hunt was on I wanted a herd dog for they are protective while only mildly aggressive well Black Mouth Curr's are used for hunting and herding small animals they become protectors.

I see you have been to the wrong end of Bourbon St. in New Orleans or maybe the intention? The Wife must be ruthless to make you work the quarry? It has been a while since I have looked in Gaz but your work is phenomenal in my book.I get scared every time on weathering it's so hit and miss with me and rust NEVER looks like rust I muck it up!Keep up great work!! -

I have an Irish contract Enfield still has the tag on the finger guard for test fire only still cosmoline in the barrel. The M1 carbine is an Inland I have to aim about 6" to the right(barrel and receiver off on indexing) at 100yds but it will drive it home one of my favorite shooters,

Just won this in auction VZ-24 to replace the one I gave to my Son.On a roll.Today I spied an American Tactical MP40 9mm 10" barrel $589 last one for a while.

I will see if I can dig the place up off of the other memory stick but I have had ammunition made for my .32 rimfire 1905 Winchester. I put in the order and they later got with me on how much I needed https://www.buffaloarms.com/ammunition/black-powder-ammo/non-metric-calibers/17-35-caliber.html

While that is the case in collectors market that lends it well to a shooter doesn't it?At leasy they did a decent job just a little to shinny a semi-gloss would of been better.

Seems John you have found that niche of non-boredom materials for yourself that's Good! -
Okay She is finally starting to look like an F-86 This build has just about been a PIA as far as repainting goes though.I started applying the yellow band decals did the fuse first was on to the one wing when I noticed the fuse band was to far back arrgh!!So I pulled up the wing not dry yet but the fuse............will out came the tape and in the process broke off the Tailplanes OK not one cuss word I promise but their was some breathing happening in the long run made doing the decals around the tail easier without them there.I guess you have figured by now the bands are painted paint one paint all actually looks better but when does it not!The instructions from Kinectic have a bit to be desired on decals so anyone who builds this pay close attention the the fuse band it about touches the wing root. and notice the design of the bottom decal says alot.I think she will look OK when finished trust me I am ready for that word "Finished" and move on to the GB.Pics...........two with flash two w/o.

My FR 8 1951 I have a sling and bayo inbound. The rifle I would say by the dust in the hidder has not been shot in 10/15 years maybe longer dry and dirty.I took the girl apart today soft brush on a dremel in some areas to polish and remove rust/grime and cleaned up the stock someone had varnished it.So i used some easy-off washed/scrubbed her and reapplied water in some dings and heat gun next raised about 70% of the dings.I will start applying lind seed oil tomorrow
