Have a good one Ernie and stay safe.

Not sure Harv. In my experience it's similar to the Tamiya acrylics ie alcohol rather than water based. It's always reacted well with Mr Levelling. Sorry don't know more than that as it's not that easy to get over here.

That's very tempting..... Father's Day is this weekend!!

amazing cockpit / engine details and wires from Anyz

Have seen some really nice uses of the various knobs and things on some modern jet cockpits. Good to hear the service is good as well. -

Wow, that looks brilliant Jeroen. Real depth to the print - the watch strap almost looks 3D -

Very nice subtle weathering there Martin. -
Nice Martin. Just such a cool design. Who else would design a tank to look like a block of cheese! Based on the typo I guess it's a Trumpeter kit?

Having been robbed of my airbrushing space by the kids returning early from Uni I decided to order a spraybooth. After a bit of research I plumped for one from a company called Bartsharp as it's about 40% bigger than the standard versions and shifts 9m3 of air per minute. They were waiting for new stock when I ordered which took a while due to the current situation but it arrived yesterday. Service was great as they kept in touch throughout and even phoned to talk through the shipping options. I also ordered a 4m tumble dryer hose to use with it so I can work in the family room and vent through the patio doors. Has full LED lighting which is also adjustable so should hopefully do me for the foreseeable future. Also got this for my birthday, so I'm going to build it straight away and paint and weather it at the same time as the AMX-30B2 I've got on the go. Hopefully get back to the CHET as well.

Have stalled on the CHET build at the moment as the kids' early return from Uni has robbed me of my airbrushing space. So I had a look in the stash and thought I'd start on something different while I waited for a spraybooth so I could work elsewhere in the house. Went for some armour as you can build before you paint although I haven't done any armour since my first ventures back into the hobby about 10 years ago which were brush painted. Went with the Meng AMX-30B2 with the Aber barrels and Friul tracks. Everything went together very well. Just a slight bit of filler around the cupola due to my own error. Didn't pay attention to how it was keyed and ended up with the machine gun pointing off at a 45 degree angle! Tracks have been burnished and the pads painted with Tamiya rubber black. First time I've used Friuls and I really like the result. They're a little fiddly and boring to get together but you do get into a rhythm and it's almost a Zen-like experience as you build them up. -

Hi Rob you can also try the Malsjo https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/malsjoe-glass-door-cabinet-black-stained-black-stained-60303481/ think it's similar dimensions but also has glass sides. I have one and it easily takes a 1/32 F-15C which is a fairly big beasty. -
Have a great day!!

Nice start Alan. Given how little you see of the pit in these when they're closed up I think the belts look just great. -

Victory for perseverance Danny! Nice one. -
Glad to hear it went well Ron. Good luck for the other one. Gus

Very funny and unfortunately quite close to the truth. Have had to edit a few photos taken at weddings, etc when the kilts are out in force! A few beers and any thoughts about keeping the knees together go out the window!!

Missed the fun again?! Thanks for keeping the riff raff out Ernie & co. Although there's always the old Groucho quote about 'would I want to be a member of club which'd accept me?' (to paraphrase) which comes to mind at times like this!!

Glad you got it sorted. The 'big deep breath and walk away' is often best. Look on the bright side you didn't glue yourself to it which is generally my default with superglue! -

Great finish. Interesting vehicle as Rob says... looks a bit like a Panther turret on a Tiger chassis.
