GazzaS Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 Nice rivetting. Just as I was telling Rob on another thread... They're just not 100% reliable. 5 1
Peterpools Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 Jeroen Sorry to see the HGW Rivets didn't work but you were able to save the day with the good old fashioned way of riveting. Have you tried the Archer Rivet System and what's you take on them? From what I've read and seem, they seem to work rather well. Keep 'em comin Peter 3
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted June 2, 2021 Author Administrators Posted June 2, 2021 Had an alu box made with holes for the instruments. Corners need to be smoothened. And the base will be sprayed rlm66. 7 2
Wingco57 Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 The base looks great Jeroen. Especially when sprayed RLM66. 4

Bomber_County Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Looking great Jeroen, you could always add some fake fasteners or rivets to replicate the original even more……just a thought…… 4

Even got the right Mr Mark softener, but about 20% of the rivets stayed on the carrier film. Ah well! Back to old school riveting. It looks like a masterpiece to me 6
