HubertB Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Well, these guys seem to have learnt the lesson that quality + iconic subject = cash flow. Wishing them plenty more of all of the above. Hubert 6

krow113 Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Excellent. A hurdle cleared nicely. Next hurdle after production; The Critique. I will buy as soon as available. lol 6
Peterpools Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Ernie Thanks for the heads up! I'm dancing on air - a true to goodness BOB Spitfire Mk.1a. I couldn't have asked for more Keep 'em comin Peter 4 1
BlrwestSiR Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 I think I'd better get at least one. Need something to balance out all those Tamiya ones in the display case. Carl 3 3
Martinnfb Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 Brilliant, I am somewhat excited, although what am I going to do with my revell/hasegawa/barracuda stash ? 4 1 1
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted September 15, 2021 Author Administrators Posted September 15, 2021 This is actually a very good thing. A Wingnut quality Spitfire 1. The last Spitfire 1 we had was that 1960s Revell release, which, ironically enough, is pretty close to being the most accurate one out there. Hasegawa tried, and missed, but other than the underbelly/wing fillet, did a very credible job. 5
harv Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 Smitty, how many drinks tonight ? 🤔.......harv 2 1
Peterpools Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 I'm not promising myself to buy just one 'cause that isn't going to happen ... it's just a case of how many. I've built three Tamiya Mustangs, two Spits, one Corsair with one in the stash and my prized Mossie. Looks like the Spits are going to take the lead Keep 'em comin Peter 3

GazzaS Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 Even though not my favorite plane... it is my favorite version of that plane. Thankfully they used their heads and didn't whip out some interwar &(**%$!^, some unarmed @(&%, or some civilian %()(@. I'm sure they'll be famous.... unless their next plane is a Fairey Battle, or Blackburn Skua. Personally, I wouldn't turn my nose up at an early Tiffie.... or have those been "done to death"? 4

Why, oh why so much violence 🥴 ? (🤣 😂) Hubert 😄 PS: the next big question is : will JohnB buy one, and then how many more will he churn out ? More than Corsairs ? 3 4

Me, I am contented with resin kits of some interwar &(**%$!^, some unarmed @(&%, or some civilian %()(@ , or even scratchbuilding some interwar &(**%$!^, some unarmed @(&%, or some civilian %()(@ Hubert, feeling cheeky and jestful … PS: I just received the Lukgraph DH-90 Dragonfly. What a gorgeous kit of some interwar &(**%$!^, some unarmed @(&%, or some civilian %()(@ 😍 ! 4 4
Spitfire Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 Now that has got my attention, the new (2014) Revell I/II with help from Barracuda turned out pleasingly well but a WNW type quality Mk. I should smash it out of the park, I'm in. Cheers Dennis 4
Peterpools Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 We'll need to hear from John and my money is on maybe six or more over the next few years. Keep 'em comin Peter 4

Well, my vote is for a Hawker Henley. 😇 For some odd misguided reason, I really love that plane. 3
