Mine has a rubber backside, which also helps to roll PE parts to shape. Annealing makes rolling PE parts a lot easier, as it takes the springiness away from the brass. Heat the brass part over a flame, until it turns blueish. Don´t overheat and let the brass glow. Annealing takes away the tension in the kristalline structure of the metal. Cheers Rob I have a similar tool from The Small Shop (I think recently closed up shop) that I use a lot on 1/350 and 1/700 ship models. Really helps to get curves in PE. I haven't annealed my PE parts before, but will try it especially with thicker brass (I think 1/700 brass is probably too thin). Rob is right about the springiness of non-annealed PE. To deal with it, I usually roll to a thinner diameter to account for the spring. Good to know that annealing takes away the spring. 3

belugawhaleman Posted Friday at 09:48 PM Posted Friday at 09:48 PM A number of items including: A 1/35 RSO OST from Miniart.... Had to get this one. Looks tiny and complex. What to expect from Miniart (Manypart)😀 Loads of masking tape from Tamiya A pliers and metal nipper from Godhand. A "Tweezer-action" scissors and a Conical file from Tamiya. From Dspiae a kind of double-ended scraper tool.....They call it a " Broad edge broach". It has a flat chisel blade on one end and, as shown, a double edge point at the other. This should be useful for eliminating the seams on the resin figures I have. These are good products, and I hope people find this post useful😀 4
BlrwestSiR Posted Saturday at 12:44 PM Posted Saturday at 12:44 PM Paul, I'm happy that you post about the tools you're getting, especially the Dspiae ones as they're usually high quality and useful. Carl 1 1
Spitfire Posted Saturday at 06:23 PM Posted Saturday at 06:23 PM Just had to, but it will be quite a while before I build it, Have to improve my skills a bit first. Cheers Dennis 5
GusMac Posted Saturday at 08:55 PM Posted Saturday at 08:55 PM Just arrived today, my early Father's Day present. Looks great and has an easier breakdown that the previous version I had. 3

GusMac Posted Saturday at 09:09 PM Posted Saturday at 09:09 PM This is the updated version of my previous airbrush Kevin and it seems to be a step forward in terms of detail. Neat little details on the needle and nozzles so that you can't mix up the different sizes, etc. Just seems like typical German engineering efficiency. 2

denders Posted Monday at 02:13 AM Posted Monday at 02:13 AM I was at the IPMS show in Chattanooga this past weekend and picked these items up in the vendor area. 5
ScottsGT Posted Monday at 06:46 PM Posted Monday at 06:46 PM My turn! This will be a first for me. Well, several firsts. 1). First time I’ve had the bench already cleared and ready for the new arrival. 2) First printed model I’ve ever built. 3) First model I’ve ever spent this kind of coin on. I’ve come close if you consider kits + AM. Not gonna lie. I’m a little intimidated. I know nothing about 3D printed parts. What cleaners can I use before priming? Instructions mentioned priming before any paint goes on. CA and epoxy I assume are the only glue options. Maybe some white canopy glue too. Definitely won’t be cracking open the Tamiya thin cement or my sprue goo this time around. I think my first task will be cleaning off all the printing supports and priming each part individually before any assembly. 4
HubertB Posted Monday at 11:13 PM Posted Monday at 11:13 PM 3D-printed is no different than « normal » resin. So, yes, CA, or epoxy glue. The only plus is that, having been cleaned of unwanted resin left over from the printing process with IPA, you can skip the degreasing step ! Hopefully mine will be there when I come back from my trip to Bali (catching my flight later today). Looking forward to see your build Hubert 4
