I'm always in search of good pilot figures.  Here is a nice pair from AC Model in 1/32,

The figures seem nicely detailed and without air bubbles or other flaws other than a bit of flash.

They'll look great next to a 109.

I also got some panzer figures...   much cheaper ones....

This Italeri kit is a mix of old molds and New parts.  The hull is 1974 molds with new road wheels and link and length tracks.  The turret is much newer.  I have enough Pz IV kits around so I can afford to use some for parts if the old Italeri hull isn't up to scratch.

Happy Modelling!

Latest Eduard F6F-3 Hellcat Profi kit

I‘ve built the Eduard Hellcat a while ago, using some goodies. It‘s a good fitting kit with lots of potential for enhancement, when wanted. The base kit is decently detailed and can be build oob as well.

Cheers Rob

Nice choice Gary, can't wait to see how you work your magic on this one :), also as you probably know, Aber produces a great barrel for this baby.

Thanks Rob, appreciate the info and am looking forward to building a few hellcats this year as well. Nothing like building aircraft from the Iron Works gang when you grew up on Long Island, maybe 15 minutes from the factory in Bethpage (of course, traffic was a whole lot less back then). 🚗

Iwata has a clearance section on their website so I picked up a couple new airbrushes from them.

I'm hoping these will be great to use for either small detail work or those times you just have a tiny amount of paint to spray.

On the Eclipse, I can change the colour cup to something larger if I want to but I have other airbrushes for that.

Carl

For the past half dozen years or so, my arsenal has been comprised of:

Two H&S Infinity CR Plus AB's

An Iwata Eclipse HP-PC and an Iwata Revolution AB's.

I use all four almost interchangeably and they are the perfect tools for me. Couldn't ask for any better.

I have many Iwata airbrushes.... Some over 20 years old.

My most recent Iwatas are a Hi-Line HP-BH.....great for

fine lines and a HP-C plus. Both are smooth and reliable.

I have 4 Ecipses ...two are HP-CS the others are HP-BCS.

The two HP-CS and one HP-BCS are 20+ years old, but when I returned to

modeling, I refurbished them using new parts (needles, nozzle, packings,o-rings and the like.). They're like new now. The remaining HP-BCS I purchased

because I couldn't find my other one at first....I've not used it yet.

Yes, I like Iwata!

Did the stash police sanction the purchase or was undercover…….:sofa:

Undercover baby!  And I even learned to manipulate the Ring doorbell camera zone so she doesn’t get notifications.

Devastator is arriving Friday while she’s at work too. 😁

Looking forward to a build thread of the F-35 - sure is going to be epic.

Going to build the Italeri A model first with the Splinter scheme.  I’m thinking the B model needs to be built on a stand in a VTOL landing approach.

Got this today....Not a big 1/16 scale behemoth kit, it's 1/35.

From Tamiya, it's their Russian Heavy Tank JS-2 Model 1944 ChKZ (35289).

Nice kit: link & length  or "rubber" option for tracks, 2 figures, photo-etch, and four

marking options.  Coming to the end of my bucket list as far as purchases

goes for now. One in the post, another I may buy in a couple weeks.

This is one of Tamiya's finest according to he reviews I've seen . Uncle Nightshift built one last year. Will be glad to hear your take on it , as i don't do Russian armour , so maybe a good reason to give this one a go !
