Love the PE-work and can only assume the patience needed. Cheers Rob Thnx Rob, the only reason i’m not cutting any corners here is that i pass the crash site and graves every day on my way to work. this is the god’s honest truth. 2

I was referring to me personally. No decent 32 model, we grab a good 48 kit. Or 72 in the case of An-22 1

Martinnfb Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Lovely work Jeoren. Wimpy has a place in my hearth . As a kid I use to read stories of Czechoslovak airmen from 311 squadron, that flew them over the darkness of the enemy territories . Scary to think what those guys had to go thru . Once again mighty fine work, I had a chance to spare a word or two with the Eduard team in Phoenix and I have to admit, what a bunch of nice and creative folks. ,,,if I may suggest something to consider, please check out this video, and the colouring/wear difference present on the bombs, as the casted body was attached to the stabilizing part.
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 18, 2018 Author Administrators Posted August 18, 2018 Hi Martin, thnx!! the video you post shows an early wimpy. This means the bombs are mustard yellow. My wimpy is late and had green bombs. A darker shade of green and shorter bomb tails. 2 minutes ago, Martinnfb said: 2
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted August 18, 2018 Administrators Posted August 18, 2018 The wimpy has got to be my favorite WW2 Brit bomber. Yup, even over the Lanc.
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 19, 2018 Author Administrators Posted August 19, 2018 Almost ready to close the fuselage. 9

Bomber_County Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Jeroen, unbelievably beautiful, will you be able to view the mid section when buttoned up?.......congrats Phil. 1
DocRob Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Perfect Jeroen and I like your passionate approach to history you show with that project. Can't say that I'm waiting for the Wellington to be finished, because that will hinder the view from savor the inner section of the fuselage . Cheers Rob 1

Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 30, 2018 Author Administrators Posted August 30, 2018 Some progress. Fit is pretty decent so far. Adding some more PE for the bomb aimer: here’s the wings dry fitted: the place i’m pointing at is where my house is today. The crash site is smack in the middle of the base. 7
Grunhertz Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Great idea jeroen. It's a nice size for 1/48 isn't it? 3
GusMac Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Looks great on the base Jeroen. Your nice straight roads there make it looked almost like a tiled base. 1
