It's been on the Bench for a while but now I'm pretty sure I've put the 'worst' behind me... A 'skeletal' Fokker Dr. I. I've used Aviattic's rudder and wire wheels from Part's photo etch, the rest is scartched... The wings are also coming along nicely... Not really a kit Jeff, I'm using the Roden kit as a guide and I will be using a few parts along the way. The rudder is from Aviattic, the wire wheels from Part and the turnbuckles from RB Productions the rest is scratched from styrene profiles. I think most modellers are dreaming of doing something like this, I know I have, and for many years too. I knew it would be difficult and the project has brought me to the farthest corners of my skills, even to the point of giving up on the rigging of the fuselage, only to be 'saved' by the turnbuckles from Radu... So I'm starting to add some wood grain to the spars and ribs, keeping it light. I intend to use Uschi von der Rosten veneer decals for the leading edges of the wings...
