smitty44 Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 Gonna have to call in some close air support... 5
Wumm Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 Japanese Slayer of Dragons I don't think we have one started here on LSM yet. But I will probably need the help of an IJAAF Meijin if there are any here? S 8
Bomber_County Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 Never seen this ZM Nick built up, are you going to do a WIP........ 5

Bomber_County Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 Just read that Takom have just released a new StuG III early https://www.themodellingnews.com/2020/03/takom-awakens-with-four-new-releases-in.html#more 6
ScottsGT Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 Since we are on the Corona lockdown, I feel this is a good place to post this. 7

Bomber_County Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Decals finished, matt coat tomorrow and then a little weathering..... 10
Bomber_County Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Thanks, this will be my first ever 32nd build........ 6
TJTX Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 Fuselage halves were joined today. Seam cleanup and continuing to decal under wing stores tomorrow. 9
Bomber_County Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 I’d be scared to death in catching that beautiful tail artwork........... 5
TJTX Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 You'll notice I got the forward nose section wrong. I followed the Tamiya directions before the decals arrived and realized I used the wrong part. Oh well! And the tail gets pulled off easily and set aside so no harm will come to it. 5
1to1scale Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 No big deal, can you crack the nose ring off and install the new one? 4
smitty44 Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Trim the IFF blades off the other part!! You can do it!!! 5
Bomber_County Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Last bits and bobs to finish the Tempest, quick cleanup and on to this. I am ashamed to say I started this Corsair back in Aug 2105. JohnB has done three squadrons since then. Anyway time to finish this one up. I’ll post the Tempest in completed section but I haven’t any build pics.......those were the days where being on TOS I didn’t dare to post build pics.........times have changed...... Trying to remember where everything is supposed to fit, me 15 minutes to work out the cowls, hence the tape...... 8
BlrwestSiR Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Nice Corsair Phil. The cowls have arrows moulded on the inside that point forward if that helps. 4
Bomber_County Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Thanks Carl, it had been so long since I’d worked on this it after 10mins I finally spotted the arrows I’d never fixed the engine in so I had all the other cowls to contend with. .......onwards and upwards........ 4
BlrwestSiR Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 With the 109 done, I've got my Spitfire back on. Mostly the final fiddly bits left: landing gear, exhaust pipes, and rads. 6 1
