Administrators Clunkmeister Posted June 2, 2019 Author Administrators Posted June 2, 2019 Sanding sanding sanding.... broke through. Crap! Me and seams. They’re the bane of my existence 6
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted June 3, 2019 Author Administrators Posted June 3, 2019 I ammNOT a believer in black basing, it this model is mostly NMF, so I believe in a black under surface go make the aluminum pop. 9
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted June 3, 2019 Author Administrators Posted June 3, 2019 So, I was ri eying the top patch and reading list rivets with my trusty RB riveter, when I hear the ominous “Crack” from the bottom of the fuselage. Yep, cracked a seam, but it’s now fixed. 5
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted June 3, 2019 Author Administrators Posted June 3, 2019 I am REALLY happy how the Mk.X doublers and Jerry blanking plate came out. Once riveted, hey really look the part. I wanted the turret blank to look semi homemade as if it was done by service members in a cold hangar, and it does. Very happy so far. Now, mask off the top white area and prime it white. Then mask off the lower fuselage, mount radar dome and rear vision camera, and paint in in ADF Grey, She’s coming together. 6
BlrwestSiR Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Can't wait to see more. This is turning out amazingly. Carl 4

GazzaS Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Buffing with newsprint is a good way to increase sheen, too. 5

FME erk Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 I'm impressed with the work so far Ernie. Why is it we all want more photos but you tease us with just one ?? I am so looking forward to seeing the NMF and then the red . . . it will be fantastic or even better than that David 5
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted June 3, 2019 Author Administrators Posted June 3, 2019 Sorry for the lack of pics, folks. the issues I have is that I use my iPhone for a camera and the depth of view is not so good. Plus I'm a hideously bad photographer as well. I'll try to get more pics, especially when it isn't just a black blob on my bench. My camera shows little else as of now. 5
Bomber_County Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Looking good Ernie, are you on track for the Nats? 2
