GusMac Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Please, please, please be the Spey 'Toom. Been waiting for that since seems like forever. Dying to do a 111 or 43 Squadron bird from Leuchars as I saw them every day as a kid. 4
1to1scale Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 I just got back and as of 2 hours ago, nothing yet. 4
Ryan Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Wasn’t there a flyer on the table for a ETO B-25 version? Is that the big reveal? 4

Martinnfb Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 If I understand correctly this new release is year away,  it better be something new-new. 3
BlrwestSiR Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 I wonder if they have decided to announce new kits when they're much closer to release as they got quite a bit of flak over the delays to the Lanc. At the LHS yesterday we were brainstorming what the new release could be. I was thinking Grand Slam Lanc as that wouldn't be too hard.  3

Nope, it’s going to be a British Phantom! Just go to their webpage, two of the 3 header pictures show FG-1’s. I’m going to put money on it! 1

And hence, why human discourse has devolved to the level it has in recent years, when tl;dr becomes the excuse as to why skipping to the head of the discussion line by clicking the correct arrow and ignoring all previous replies, allows a person to now believe that they were the first to have a novel idea even if that idea is in the post immediately prior to theirs. There's some other factors, but discussing that would just generate some more tl;dr events.
Martinnfb Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 It's gonna be propeller driven /multi-engine/main-stream aeroplane. 1

It would certainly be a possible marketing tool for them to sell more B-25's and for the Catch 22 guy's to market the show to HKM's domestic region, which is presumably PTO-biased and an ETO show might be refreshing. 1
Ryan Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 The rep told me the ETO 25 was not the mystery release. 2
IainMackayDall Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 No one has done a 1/32 Avro Vulcan ( Apart from a Paper Model version I found on eBay ) Although personally I would rather see a 1/32 HP Victor 3

ScottsGT Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 So no real announcement yet?  Isn’t the show over as of today?  2

HKM Have only one hairdryer release to date: The Gloster Meteor. Perhaps you're thinking of ZM and their recent release of 1.48 F4's?? Anyhow HKM announced sometime back that they were working on a 1/32 Spey Engined Phantom (at least 3-5 years ago now) ... so the gestation period fits. They also announced a P.51B and a Ju.52 (both of which are of interest to me - especially the Ju.52)... Apparently the news is ... 6 "undisclosed kits" have been raffled off at the convention ... even the winners don't know what they've won!! My guess is that the announcement / unveiling will happen at Telford - since that this the big one at the end of the year ... If it IS the Phantom - this would be fitting considering this is the home of the Spey variant. Rog 3
ScottsGT Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Fingers crossed for that Phantom phantasy!!! 1
1to1scale Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 HK pulled a chicken shit stunt, and we fell for it. No new kit announcement. 2
