Administrators Clunkmeister Posted August 20, 2019 Administrators Share Posted August 20, 2019 Anyone have them? I sure do, and usually for no reason other than “because”. I hang my head in shame. And yes, that is the unbuildable Kitty Hawk Su-17 fuselage. My third.
Bill_S
I'd post mine, but I fear I'd run out of film first...

Don't know how I find the stuff I'm actually working on. I'd have to change to "basement of doom" since they're not exactly on a shelf. Since they don't make a shelf big enough Edited August 20, 2019 by BlrwestSiR Typo
BlrwestSiR
Here's my bench currently: In the far corner is a Tamiya Spitfire IX and a T-Rex There's also wings for a pair of HK B-25s. Beside that part of my bench is a drawer unit where the B-25 fuselages are, along with the LCM and a ZM He-219. Next to that is this pile: Not really sure what's there. The stuff on the cutting mat is what my sons are working on. Finally, the other side of my space. So yeah, way too much stuff started...oh look a squirrel! HubertB
Here is my only one (well, the only visible one, I mean, because started kits in their boxes don’t count, do they ?) It’s a 1/32 scratchbuilt Aichi Hansa, a Japanese licence-built Hansa W-29, with an Hispano engine. It was started in 2008, before WNW existed, years before WNW’s W-29 was launched and went OOP. The build was stalled when my cat pushed into an unscheduled first flight - with only very minor damage . And ... sorry for the cluttered bench .You can see my current mojo restorer ... an Entex 1/36 Palawan. It is in fact a kit of George Watson’s (of IBM fame) Palawan IV, designed by Sparkman and Stephens, and built by Rasmussen. And with only very minor improvements (like open skylights, to see the inside fittings - hang-on, that means I have to scratchbuild the interior ? ) Hubert
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted August 20, 2019 Author Administrators Share Posted August 20, 2019 My bench used to look just like Carl’s. Then I spilled stuff all over my F-5 and had to re rivet the entire model. HZ organizers were the nest investment I ever made. They aren’t a perfect solution, but they do give everything a home. Mise en place.
TJTX
I had 2. My felixstowe and my B-25. I'm happy that the Felix is back on the bench and someday the 25 will be to.

1to1scale
My SOD is the most literal definition...a shelf. Of course, this isn’t showing my Fokker D.VII, B-24, P-47, Zero, SD.KFZ 222, and Wessex. So I hang my head in shame at 15 models. 5

He has probably 3000-4000 kits, and at least half had been started. He actually finished 2 models in the past 10 years.

I just did a count off the top of my head - 38 on the SOD, and I'm sure I missed some.

Yes, I got tired of filling and sanding, these hasegawa P-40's need a lot of work, plus I took on a gray matter conversion. I decided that I am going to get back on these, but I need to tackle paint two at a time. I cant handle painting them all at once. I also have 2x P-40B (not started yet). 2x P-40E 1x P-40F (started, but in the box) 2x P-40K 1x P-40L 2x P-40N (early and late)

There's 6 paint racks, numerous small bins for AM and supplies, a wooden wine case for more paint, a rolling drawer unit...etc. Stuff just doesn't make it back to where it's supposed to go. Now with my sons "borrowing" tools and paints, it's probably only going to get worse.
