Time frame , like ? ............................The Squadron converted to Lancasters and became operational in February 1945, and it looks like she flew her first operational sortee February 20/21 1945 , to Dortmund, bombed at 0112 , from 18,500ft, heading 028 at 175 IAS, 10/10 stratus cloud, but visibility was good. P/O Nichol and crew returned safely to base. That looks to be her first op.

I hear you there, lately my goddamned knees are giving me grief, I guess jumping off heavy equipment ( when the ladder is 4 feet off the ground) and gravel trucks, kneeling in the snow and ice to chain said units up, has caught up with me, I sit down , and can hardly get up, and when I do.... I wobble around like a new born colt !

  16. Hey guys, I'm sure some of you are well aware of this but in order to save a buck or two ( quid or two) when shipping your gifts to each other, when you fill out the customs part, ALWAYS put a VERY low value or N C V ( No Commercial Value) because all that is , is for the Government to know how much to charge taxes and duties on, if you put NCV they won't even look at it, also in the description put 'Used scale model parts" or something like that............... NOW that does not mean you can't insure an expensive package, that part is separate , so as an example if one was shipping a very expensive kit, and said that the value was $200.00 or something, the guy at the other end gets dinged for customs, charges and taxes and duties, when in fact all of that has been already paid by the first guy.... there is no commercial value in used model parts, or used books etc... I actually had a Canada Customs guy tell me to do that... and it works...... just a random thought..
  17. ABSOLUTELY, Agree 110% , Mike.... Thanks guys....
