Thanks guys!

Working on the clear bits. I masked them off using the Eduard mask set.

First coat of green for the interior colour, then when that's dry I'll put on the white.

Glad to see the B-24 back on the bench again and nice work on the turrets and thank goodness for customer service. Last few builds, I've needed customer service as I loose parts at an ever increasing rate.

Keep 'em comin

Some good news. Thanks to Martin and the email address he provided I was able to order a replacement canopy. So hopefully that's on its way shortly and I'll be able to get back to the build.

As mentioned, with the Strike Valkyrie finished it's time to get back to the heavies.

First thing up was installing the flight crew's seats.

With that done, time for the canopy.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll have that masked and can start on the painting.

Ah, got to save that one. However, I'm still waiting for Niki, from Takom to ship a

Sprue from their 1/16 panzer 1 a kit.

Very nice work, Carl.  I always get hesitant about cockpits.  I have decided that for the entirety of styrene model building history, that the model making companies have been doing us a disservice.  How many fogged, scratched and ruined canopies could have been saved if they had been engineered so that the surfaces to be cemented were 1/4 in or so from the clear area?

anyway…. I look forward to more progress.

Carl, glad you’re back on the Lib, aren’t the wingy things required before paint, or is this a Lib from the 41st Century………looking good……

Thanks folks! It feels good to have this back in the bench. Well, it never actually left but got piled on at one end.

Anyways, I taped up the openings in the fuselage and used the closed bomb bay doors to cover that section up.

I then got a coat of green down over the window frames and then started priming the fuselage.

I hear you Gary. The Tamiya F-4s are some of the worst for that. And it looks like the GWH P-40 has a similar issue with the rear windows on that kit.

You're a brave man putting the canopy on this early in the build - if it were me it would be filled with sanding dust and debris in no time at all

Thanks Tom! I'm hoping with everything else sealed up I won't get anything into the fuselage. Plus I've already done all the seam sanding and filling. We'll just have to wait and see I guess

Here's the fuselage with a coat of primer on. I'm using AK Primer which is lacquer based.

For the camo, il going to use Mission Models paint. It covers well but needs a good primer under it to prevent lifting. Unless you like the chipped look.
