Soo.... What did you just get???

No pics but I got a box of clear parts for the Border Lanc.

They're presumably for the one I won in the LSM raffle a while back.

Ernie thinks Sprue Bros is sending the kit out as individual sprues...making it like one of those monthly subscription kits.

Two kits this week and a third on the way. My Tamiya A34 Comet I ordered from

Hobbyeasy has landed in Chicago and should be here soon.

The other two kits are also from Tamiya.

First, is their Kubelwagen type 82 (35213)  It looks like a nice little kit.

I also got their Schwimmwagen Type166 (35224) Both these kits were inexpensive

little kits and should be fun, quick building kits... I might build one of them over the

weekend.

This new delivery is not directly connected with modelling, but will be used for hopefully better modelling pics and others of course.
Sinc three years, I was waiting for a new photo camera from Panasonic Lumix, as the new high tech models have video written all over them. With a good price tag, I decided to opt instead for a Lumix G9, the last of the brand ultimately dedicated to photography, albeit a decent video camera too.
I know about the shortcomings of the micro four third, like unreliable, slow autofocus, bad depth of field rendering, ... but the system has a lot of benefits too and I own a lot of lenses for the system like the Leica macro on the picture.
The new one has among many things a huge viewfinder, which I find very important, a top display, which is handy for tripod photography and advanced stuff, like in camera image stacking.

Nice choice and enjoy your new camera and I'm sure you will see the difference in the images and what the camera can do as compared to its predecessor. Nothing like shooting with a new camera or lens. Of course, that's coming from a Nikon shooter since the 1970!

Thank you amigos, I hope, the camera will lead to better pictures :D.

Just got back from the past office. The remaining bits of the Border Lanc have arrived. Thankfully it's all in one box. It seems that Sprue Brothers took the clear bits out and sent them separately to prevent/minimize any damage. So that worked.

Thanks to our fearless leader @Clunkmeister for the kit.

Now to find shelf space for it and the one I got earlier from my sons. Talk about first world problems.

Another small Tamiya kit today;

This time their German Sd. Kfz. 2 Kettenkraftrad (mid production) #35377.

This kit was released in 2021 and is a completely new tooled kit.

I'm surprised at the level of detail of this kit.....it has 256 parts! Along with a trailer, it has

three figures, some photo-etched screens, and features link & length tracks. Each track

link has a separate track pad to be added.....they're tiny! I'm also surprised that the kit

includes a complete engine and opening engine cover. There are decals for two

marking options; a three color camouflage and a overall dark yellow version. The decal

sheet also has the instruments. A nice little kit..

Holy Smoke, two Lancs - almost as good as winning the lottery.

So when do the builds begin?

Peter, it's actually 4. 2 HK Lancs and 2 Border Lancs.!!!

The big issue is figuring out where to put them all when there done.

Holy Smokes, you gotta love Lancs and can't wait to pull up a front row seat and follow the journey. I'm all set and have a double supple of pc. 😉

Got in my Sprue order the other day.  They had an MRP restock so I ordered the blues I needed for my KAI Panther Phantom and enough Have Glass and gray for my two F-35 kits.  Mr. Color blacks were just because.
Also got another 400ml of leveling thinner.
