Martinnfb Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 When I was her age, our dads use to fix stuff like broken bike or your wooden crossbow made out of coat hanger and a piece of 2x4. Now kids are breaking electronics with touch screens and facial recognition. 4 2

Martinnfb Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 Honestly, I don't remember. I was collecting research material to the point of complete obsession and I run out of steam. maybe riveting part was the breaking point, not sure. I know for sure, I will come back to it one day. 6

That's what happens when they make a face and the tablet doesn't recognize them. Edward has broken 3 tablets so far, 2 of them were mine. Ended up getting a cheap Samsung with a ridiculously thick silicone bumper case and he's been fine since. 4
Martinnfb Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 That’s what she always had and yet she still somehow managed to go full Spider-Man on it 5

The edge is like a bumper so it gives when dropped. I found it on Amazon. 5 years now and no broken screen. The tablet is slow as snot these days though. 1 1

BlrwestSiR Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 I tried to make Rice Crispy squares. It's didn't quite work out. I couldn't get the marshmallows to melt. They softened and formed a somewhat homogeneous mass but not the sticky syrupy gloop I was expecting. So I ended up with this: Tastes ok, but way too marshmallow-y. I think the marshmallows I used were too old. So off to the grocery for new ones and another try. 7

BlrwestSiR Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Ok, I went and picked up fresh (is that a thing?) marshmallows and this time they did what they were supposed to. So, success! So, the morale of the story: If at first you don't succeed, feed the evidence to the dog. 1 7

GusMac Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 All markings are on and masked off. Tamiya lacquer black is on and has had a run over with 6000 grit so next step is to bite the bullet and get the Extreme Metal aluminium on. This is where it could all go horribly wrong.... 😁 8 2 1
Martinnfb Posted November 30, 2022 Author Posted November 30, 2022 Fingers crossed, those rivets should pop up once finished. 3
