Never tried these, but have a pack in my stash. http://www.brengun.cz/e-shop/1-32-accessories-31/turnbuckles-wwi-933 You might add some volume with CA or white glue. Cheers Rob

Nice double Dottie Danny. Love the presentation in the snow. It's a beautiful plane, specially with that scheme and supports the look of the lightly clothed dame well. You made her shine and it's a nice idea to depict the cover. I'm thinking about something similar with my Lulu Belle (P-40N), where a corresponding resin Lulu exists. Cheers Rob

Brave man, I was thinking of getting me the reissue, but decided against it after looking at the rigging chart. I have a FE.2b in my stash with a lot of goodies, that has to be enough. I will follow with great interest, how you tackle that flying fishnet . Cheers Rob

The surgery did the trick, nice. Cheers Rob

Thanks Gentlemen, Hi Danny, I tried to let her really shine newish, because I wanted to depict the restored Dottie and failed during the process and the bright shine vanished a little. So to call she is 'as new' . Am I right, that your Dottie represents the status of the manual (I think it was 1944 somewhere in France), as you have the black markings on the tail? What about a simultaneous rollout ? Just joking. Cheers Rob

Thank you Phil, generally spoken, these AK Xtreme metal colors are a little bit more forgiving than Alclads. Specially with masking and clear coating they are durable, but I had some problems with panel lining. Cheers Rob

1/16 Takom Imperial Japanese Army Type 94 Tankette
DocRob replied to Dave J's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
This little thing is looking great and will be a nice eyecatcher in a small dio. There are some 1/16 Marines out there. I found these two, but didn't find the corresponding company site: https://www.dersockelshop.de/figuren-buesten/usmc-soldier-wwii-1-16_miniature-alliance_ma9903.html https://www.dersockelshop.de/figuren-buesten/us-marine-pacific-islands-wwii-w-base-1-16_miniature-alliance_ma2014.html and also this one by DEF Model https://www.dersockelshop.de/figuren-buesten/u.s.-army-tank-commander-in-sahara-1942-1-16_def.model_df16002.html -
Yet another Tamiya Corsair Birdcage 1/32
DocRob replied to spliffsecond's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Nice painting and weathering. These pale blue Birdcage Corsairs are made for that. The light Colours support the effects and they were used in harsh conditions anyway. Cheers Rob -
Kitty Hawk F-5F done.

Looking great Ernie, shouldn't be your last jet. Sometimes you just have to stay with the oob approach. Trough a build the small errors and tiny 'I should have make it different ' add up naturally and it's easy to lose yourself, getting everything perfect. Finishing a project is also very satisfactory Cheers Rob -
Wow, what a beauty. Would be nice, if you could add some detail pics. Cheers Rob

Thanks guys, I like that effect too, but would have wished for a little lesser grain, but that is probably my fault. Lots of experimenting ahead to get the right sheen on the plastic. Cheers Rob

Hola Hombres, I made some progress today finishing the decals and numerous stencils. Everything went well with the Cartograph stuff, but they take a lot of time to soak. After a coat of future it's time for the final assemblies. The decals blended well after sealing, the NMF hides the carrier film well. The canopy and windscreen were not test fitted, because I like to keep them on a piece of sprue for futurizing, masking and painting but they seem to fit well, phew. Cheers Rob

Thanks Danny, some things have to be finished before calling her done. Next week I will have a little garden project to distract me . Cheers Rob

Nice save Danny, hope mine will be near as good as yours. Actually yesterday I put the large decals on my Jug, including Dottie. Next are the numerous and boring stencils. Cheers Rob -
Barker's Sopwith Camel 1:32 scale

Wow, a great looking Camel. The little dio enhances the look of your wonderful Camel a lot. The attention to detail is amazing. Cheers Rob -
Looking great, can't wait to see the camo completed. Cheers Rob

That has nothing to do with stress, thin materials or weak construction, it is an advanced technology feature

Nice looking Raiden and quite rare without heavy weathering. One year ago I built one too, without any aftermarket, a first since being a kid. As you mentioned it is a trouble free relaxing experience. The Hasegawa Raidens should be prescribed for frustrated modelers. Cheers Rob

You made a little gem out of that dinosaur 109. It was a nice travel back into the ages with your build. Cheers Rob -
I would use a neutral grey wash from MIG (no pun) Cheers Rob
