  1. I sure as hell can't find any. They don't even show the WNW brand anywhere. They only had Crumplers, Camels, AEG's, and Ninaks. Meh.
  2. Happy Birthday!!
  3. Lovely, John! Great photo upgrade, too.
  4. There have recently been spikes in Sydney and Melbourne as people have failed to take the necessary precautions. Unfortunately, two women from here went there, and brought it back. Also... unfortunately, those two women worked in a school which is minutes down the road from where I work. It is a private school, but two of my co-workers have children enrolled there. Those two people are now in isolation pending testing.... one of them actually came to work this morning.
  5. Well... Covid is just down the road from me now... I mean... 21 minutes drive from home, 11 minutes from work. My wife's school has cancelled all excursions to the area around where I work. Apparently my workplace has somebody who will sterilize the whole place in three days. It just got more real. Being in that 50+ age group...
  6. Looks too cool! Love the research shots!
  7. Rob, I like the look of it now, but I'm the wrong guy to ask about long term wear on jet models. I haven;t given the area much study. I have seen some guys do great things with weathered jets, tho. I'll be interested in seeing where it goes from here. Gaz
  8. Love to see the hull come together, Ern!
  9. That is a great finish, Rob! Two little beauties!
  10. Rog, As long as you get the taper of the barrel right, you should be fine. AFAIK. Gaz
  11. A bit of work on the Takom M47. My usual tendency is to do everything else, and then fit the crew, if any. Consequently, I'm pretty tired of the project by then and the figgies are rushed and who knows what kind of stresses the completed kit are subjected to. So, in a bid to be different and create a better model I've built basic structures to support the crew with bits of sprue and Evergreen sheet where required. Despite Covid 19 I received these metal figures from Dolp Zinnafiguren in Germany. They've been assembled with CA and and seams filled with milliput which was smoothed with wet cotton buds. I'm trying to avoid sanding lead and resin whenever possible. Tomorrow, once the milliput has dried, I can prime them. Gaz
  12. Thanks, Jeroen! So... you dip the model into a tub of water and then pull the mask?
  13. Fantastic job, Carl! I'd be proud to park a Tiger on it.
  14. I know you're building a model and it looks fantastic! But do you know if the vanes on the wings actually did anything? I had a short dance with acrylic primer. the worst paint lift in my life!
  15. I love when PE looks great like yours! Alas...mine never does.
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. Well...once Covid surpasses Spanish flu, maybe people will take it more seriously. Social media doesn't help. But then again, the country falling to bits because everything is closed isn't a viable answer either. The fact that you can re-catch it makes it even more scary. The message from mother nature is clear: "It's taken a long time for me to come up with a better way... but I'm coming for you!"
  18. Did you know that Moose Jaw is represented in at least two songs. I hope you like it, eh! Gaz
  19. Whenever anyone laughs, just wave a M1911 at them.
  20. I really don't know much about jetliners. If A380 and 747 are retired, what is left that can do the long hauls across the Pacific? And I'll tell ya one thing... riding jump seats from Hawaii to Okinawa in a C-141... is not my definition of a good time!
  21. C'mon, Ern! I make a great Pumpkin pie.
  22. No... it doesn't protect you. But it reduces the amount of water droplets from your mouth getting into the local atmosphere. It protects other people from you.
