You forgot Twin Otter. Then again, so did I. -

Beaver for sure. Maybe a Hornet too. Carl -
I've owned my '91 Honda Beat since 2007 and have only put about 20,000KM on it in that time. It's at 97,000 now. I haven't had the time to drive it as much since I've usually got the boys with me. I'm averaging maybe 400KM a year at the moment. My sons have already put dibs on it!

Great looking Eddie! Carl -
One more pic comparing the back plates. Again, the F one is on the right. As far as accuracy, I couldn't tell you which one is more accurate though. Carl

The Hasegawa F and G kits have different spinners and props. Comparing the two, I can see a slight shape difference. Here's the F spinner which is on a dedicated sprue: And here it is compared to the G-6 one. The F spinner is on the right.

If you get the boot, my wife would probably divorce me and marry you Ernie. Her dream car is a stepside pick up and this would fit the bill just about perfectly.

Don't mix that up with the thread lock! -
Jeff, I think the typical average is around 20-24,000 KMs a year. I used to lease my cars as I could write off the payments as a business expense. Every lease I took out had a standard mileage limit of 24,000 a year. A lower amount was considered a low mileage lease. There was one 4 year lease where we had 205,000 KMs on the car. The dealer didn't know what to do. The mileage penalty was more than the buyout. We got the dealer to let us sell the car privately and pay them the buyout. We actually made money on that so it worked for us. Carl

It only took 11 years but today our '09 Fit made it to this milestone: It's in KM too. Which shows just how much we drive these days. Back in the '90s, I did the same mileage in less than 2 years. Glad those days were behind me. Carl

Dragon Panther G late- quick build (?)

Ok, I'm into the home stretch. I finished painting the base Dunkelgrun. I noticed that I had forgotten the light and gun barrel travel lock so I added those. Then I started on the Dunkelgelb camo. I added the spare track links to the hull at this point. The two photos I have of the tank don't show any tools in place so that works for me. Now for a light weathering and she'll be done! Carl -

Thanks Rob! I've tried to solder PE a couple times in the past with mixed results. I may try again if needed one day. -
You could write a review for the site then!

I still have a Badger Crescendo I use from time to time. My oldest Iwata is at least 25+ years old at this point.

Same here. I've got a couple of them. Saves on needle changes.

Dragon Panther G late- quick build (?)
BlrwestSiR replied to BlrwestSiR's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
A small update today. Over the weekend I managed to get the upper and lower hull halves together. The fit was pretty much perfect. I had to use a bit of tape to keep things aligned but that was it. No seams or gaps. When the join had dried, I started adding the PE bits, mostly brackets and clamps. I hadn't planned on using PE but it was in the kit so I figured I might as well rather than letting it go to waste. The hardest bit was the tube for the gun cleaning rods. It's all done now and I didn't go insane with lots of tiny PE bits flying off into the ether. -
The wires really do look amazing. Are they braided metal or fabric?

Very nice work on the chute compartment Danny. The folded wings will definitely help save some space. -

No problem Rog. I know you collect kits too so thought I'd mention it. I've built the Meng Jagdpanther, have their Panther A in the stash and the RFM Panther G so we definitely have options these days.
