belugawhaleman Posted October 16, 2022 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Delivered today via Amazon two kits from Tamiya. First, Tamiya's Jagdpanther IV/70 (V) LANG (Sd. Kfz. 162/1) (35340). Despite getting this kit for $20.00 cheaper than for what it usually goes for, and with free shipping.... I was unhappy with the delivery..... The box was shipped in just a plastic bag!. Anyway, I've been eyeing this kit for a while....I like the looks of this low to the ground, mean-looking fighting vehicle. Kind of reminding me of a malevolent Dachshund. Also today came Tamiya's British 10 HP light Utility Car "Tilly" (35308) . I thought it might be a fun build. Looks like a nice little kit.....Something different anyway. Yesterday came from Tamiya a detail set for for the Jagdpanzer IV (v) lang. # 12660 . Rog, the FV101 chassis APC was the Spartan, only available in 1/35 in Resin as far as I am aware with quite a hefty price tag too for the size of the model. I dug up the article listing all types built on the same chassis here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combat_Vehicle_Reconnaissance_(Tracked) All in all, the array results in quite the miniaturised panzer division - with the diversity of vehicle types represented on the same chassis. One set in Ultra fine, writing a .7mm line and the other three producing lines from .9 to 1.3mm. I plan to use these for the two French tank models I got recently....both having the black- lined color demarcation camouflage that the French used.
