I have been texting with Carl for over an hour now, realizing that this Tamiya's finest is just a basic outline of nowadays armour standards, need to get Academy Jackson, Achilles or M10 in order to get new wheels and metal barrel..... for starters :(

Ah, the slippery slope of Sherman variants...

Me, I mostly stick to ones with 17 pdrs.

I know the feeling Ryan. I was looking at the new Tamiya Achilles from Lucky and it sold out right after coming in.

What is really maddening is that I had the darn thing in the cart ready to push the button and hesitated.

Martin, for Sherman’s may I recommend, Tasca /  Asuka or Dragon. Rye Field have just released an Easy 8 that looks good...

Well , now I know :)

and this arrived today   An absolute must for your Fulcrum. Why not Eduard, because Eduard simply altered it’s old set intended for the Revell kit to fit the new Trumpeter offering.

Cold War Studio's on the other hand tailored this set with effectiveness in mind. All the essentials and missing details are covered.

Thank you Stenka!image.thumb.jpg.f3115494b403b2002bc6bc0fe63dd464.jpg

Thanks Carl again for your advice, you are the SherMan expert. Now I am thinking about getting Academy M4A3 and use the hull in conjunction with the Tamiya's 105mm turret LOL

I actually agree with him in a way. I only buy Tamiya if it is a kit noone else has made, like their FAMO. Otherwise, I find their detail a bit too soft for my taste. I don't care if they are shake'n'bake; I hated that crap when it was applied to pork chops and stuff decades ago and I'm not going for it now.

I'm glad it got to you Ernie.

I thought it would go perfectly with your current project.

Thanks again, Carl! Seriously awesome it is.

I'm taking a new approach to the high viz lower striping on the big Lanc, as the pics show.

What did I just get?

A call from my boss telling me the program I work is being terminated at the end of September, and I probably wont have a job afterwards. The joy of working Govt contracts with a big corporation.
