Looking perfect and you're all set .. now if only Kotare would let their Spitfire fly!

Patience, my friend.  I have to finish this 109 and you have to finish the one you have going now and the P-40.

Delivered today via Amazon two kits from Tamiya.

First, Tamiya's Jagdpanther IV/70 (V) LANG (Sd. Kfz. 162/1) (35340).

Despite getting this kit for $20.00 cheaper than for what it usually goes for, and

with free shipping.... I was unhappy with the delivery..... The box was shipped in just

a plastic bag!. Anyway, I've been eyeing this kit for a while....I like the looks of this low

to the ground, mean-looking fighting vehicle. Kind of reminding me of a malevolent

Dachshund.

Also today came Tamiya's British 10 HP light Utility Car "Tilly" (35308) .

I thought it might be a fun build. Looks like a nice little kit.....Something different

anyway.

Yesterday came from Tamiya a detail set for for the Jagdpanzer IV (v) lang.

# 12660 . It consists of a metal gun barrel and some parts for a more detailed breach

for the gun...a useful, but not absolutely necessary addition to the kit.

I missed the second one the first time it was released and have patiently awaited the re-release. I plan to do this as the late eighties, or early nineties BAOR.

This thing looks like it was built on the Scorpion FV101 chassis!

Rog, the FV101 chassis APC was the Spartan, only available in 1/35 in Resin as far as I am aware with quite a hefty price tag too for the size of the model.

Kev ...

Actually the FV101 was the Scorpion light reconnaissance tank ... the Spartan was FV103 ...

I dug up the article listing all types built on the same chassis here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combat_Vehicle_Reconnaissance_(Tracked)

All in all, the array results in quite the miniaturised panzer division - with the diversity of vehicle types represented on the same chassis.

Either way ... the FV432 is not based on the same chassis - just a similar one :D

Rog :)

Girlfriend: I'm such an idiot.

Me: Why, Dear?

Girlfriend: Because I complain about how much time you spend with your plastic. Then I go and order you...

Me: I'm a lucky guy.

I also got this in the mail today.

Bought some POSCA paint marker pens...they came today.

I purchased two sets of three markers..... One set in Ultra fine, writing a .7mm line and

the other three producing lines from .9 to 1.3mm. I plan to use these for the two French

tank models I got recently....both having the black- lined color demarcation camouflage

that the French used. We'll see how that works out.
