I need a dog.  We have some open space, over three acres, and we are starting to get some intruders sneaking around, jumping 6 ft high fences, etc., so maybe a nice puppy who will keep Joy and I safe while loving us like few dogs can.   I have some experience with this breed...

there are none better.

Which breed it that?  I'm a Rottweiler lover myself.  That one might be a bit hairy for Australian climates.

And they eat the evidence

Saves on dog food as well!

I expect they take a fair bit of chow. Our two Jack Russell's eat enough and they are barely bigger than what that poops!

A Caucasian Ovcharka, or Caucasian Sheepdog.  Very loyal, loving and protective of family, but need to be firmly and properly trained.

Like the Great Pyrenees like my son raises, they are super aloof and independent, super loving of their family, and brutal towards intruders.

Thgey need room to run, and naturally will patrol an area for threats. With coyotes, cougars, bobcats, wild hogs, and other predators quite rampant in my area, a dog like this is highly valued.

Dooley and Lucky.  Two best friends anyone could ever ask for.

Our two looking uncharacteristically peaceful sitting on my Dad.

Salty in the foreground and Mitzi using him as a pillow.

Good one.

The one at the front certainly has two stomachs, not sure if he's a dog or a bin on legs!

And my lovely, alone, simply because I wanted to.
