  1. Yeah I know, it's 1/48, but it is on my bench in the moment. After cleaning most of the plastic parts and getting rid of the ridiculous stitching detail of the Eduard Siemens Schuckert, which I guess would cause so much drag, that the original plane would not be able to fly with it. Some before/after pics: Then I started with the Brassin engine. Resin wise it's a simple and well detailed three piece affair, but the pushrods should be made of PE. While I don't like it, I cut 22 pushrods with some spares from 0,2 mm silver nickel rod. To get them all evenly with their 5 mm length, I drilled a 0,3 mm hole through a fitting piece of wood and cut the rods with my sharp cutter. Cheers Rob
  2. Very nice Trop Nick, with a very convincing finish. I guess you have heard that there is no external image hosting required for LSM. Just click on 'choose files' in the bottom line of your thread and with choosing your pics, they will upload into the forum. Cheers Rob
  3. Seems to have very similar dimensions, but less boards. For me it is more about storing finished kits, than presenting, so space is the main issue. My Syvde shelf is in the workroom and for me there is no need for side walls made from glas, but if someone is looking for LS-storage in the living area, this might be a possibility. Cheers Rob
  4. Nice work with the shelf, bueno. The extra space is well needed. I recently bought this: https://www.ikea.com/de/de/p/syvde-schrank-mit-vitrinentueren-weiss-30439565/ because it is deeper than the others. It's depth is more than 40 cm on the inside, which should be enough for my AEG G.IV, if it ever arrives and got build. The width is one meter on the outside. It's spacy, but obviously has no glass on the sides. Cheers Rob
  5. Nice, it's a great kit and doesn't even need a gun . I built this one in three days, when I had a flu, some years ago. Not my best, but definitely my fastest build. Cheers Rob
  6. Nice and hard work on the A-7. I will never do commission work. Sometimes I ask friends if they want a kit or being asked by friends, If I would give away a finished kit and often I do. As I don't sell them, there is no warranty . Cheers Rob
  7. When I read the first sentence, I thought about offering mine and get them back, when yours arrive. There is nothing between having nothing or piling a stock like a wholesaler , but hey, you can continue now and give us exclusive insight, how they work on NMF and maybe later on OD , I heard they work on matte surfaces too. Cheers Rob
  8. I'm watching with rising interest, first, because of your fantastic skills and research and second because yesterday I started two tiny Eduard SSW's in 1/48 scale to get used to Lozenge decals and wood painting and third, because I like the design of the stubby SSW, which could be seen as the P-47 of WWI. Cheers Rob
  9. I started two Siemens Schuckert's today in 1/48 scale and have a Mig-31 pending, also 1/48 scale and the latter got a WIP started in the 'Non LSM WIP and Completed area here. I have to admit, besides their cool lookings the SSW's are a testbed for wood finish and Aviattic Lozenge decaling . Cheers Rob
  10. Nice and clean build in a very fitting setting. Welcome to LSM where it's not only about LS and planes. We have an open heart for every kind of build and scale. Make yourself comfortable with our bunch. Cheers Rob
  11. I start to fear the presentation of a perfect build from you , honestly, I like what I see, the only downside is, that you where to fast to participate in Martin's suggested Tempest GB , if that will ever happen. Cheers Rob
  12. No need to chicken out with the F-16 , we have an open heart here, even for non-LSM builds. Feel free to take us on the trip and make a 'WIP'. Cheers Rob
  13. I was considering to build my Mk. VI soon. It still has to arrive here and then I will give it a thought. Cheers Rob
  14. Thanks Kevin, looking at builds by fellow members here is inspiring to me too and as a bonus you receive a lot of help when you're stuck. Cheers Rob
  15. Me too, good when Carl builds one, I can sneak peak a little for mine, which I bought last week . Cheers Rob
  16. Very inspiring work and your attention to detail is fabulous. Cheers Rob
  17. Sorry Bill no Camel, but Modellbau König of Germany has some kits left, not only early Gotha's. https://www.modellbau-koenig.de/Hersteller/Wingnut-Wings?Page=1&Items=24&Filter={"category":[1019]}&sort=5&view=list Cheers Rob
  18. Outstanding detail work in the pit. Punching out the dials, seemed to have payed off. Cheers Rob
  19. It took a while, but time was well spent . Thanks for sharing this jewel. I will store your pics as an inspiration for my recently acquired 'Wooden Wonder' Cheers Rob
  20. Who cares, we have only a handful of policemen on our island and most of them we know. It only gets tough, when the Trafico from Teneriffa is here, they are really sharp, but do not patrol the beaches . Cheers Rob
  21. Because they are beautiful and because I have chosen it as my avatar . And this one is not even LS, it's 1/72. Cheers Rob
  22. Today this little beauty arrived. Seems to be a decent kit, the plastic and decals are looking good, while browsing through the box. Beside of my panic WNW buys lately, I even ordered a Roden DR.1 yesterday, not because WNW may never produce theirs, but, because I got it for a very decent price. My interest in triplanes is not very high, but I guess it will be fun to build it. Cheers Rob
  23. The BF Goodrich AT tires are on my to do list too, but first I will rub down the original ones a bit in hot weather. Cheers Rob
  24. My Baby got stripped this weekend. With the help of some friends, a case of cold beer and a Paella afterwards, she got her summer dress. Before: After: Open skies:
  25. Gracias Senhores, yes, I see the Arado closed soon. I think, I will use old screws as counterweight. There is enough space and I emphasize, I won't need a ton . Cheers Rob
