  1. Looks really nice there Phil. I hear you on the figure painting bit. Carl
  2. So it seems that the owner of the Niva must be in my neighbourhood as I've seen him driving around a few times this week. Nice job so far on getting the body together. Carl
  3. Guess you're right Jeff. I found a Tamiya Hetzer on sale so I bought that. And a Revell Corsair for a crazy kit bash idea I have.
  4. Thanks Steve. So vapourware at the moment. Carl
  5. The biggest challenge is shipping to Canada these days is not cheap. So stuff may be on sale but the shipping cost pretty much wipes out the savings and then some. For example the ZM Hs129 was $114 at Sprue Brothers but then $67 was the cheapest postage option. Then factor in a conversion rate of 1.3 and yeah, not such a great deal. At least the stash is full enough that I really don't need anything. Carl
  6. I was on Great Hobbies website checking out their Black Friday speciald and came across this listing for a 1/32 FW-190 A5. https://www.greathobbies.com/productinfo/?prod_id=KTY32025 The boxset looks to be similar to other kits from Kitty Hawk but haven't heard anything about this release. Any ideas or is this like their F-11F that Hannants- I think still has listed as coming soon? Carl
  7. It's a Doyusha 1/12 Lancia Stratos. One of my favourite cars.
  8. Not one you see every day being built.
  9. Nice! Immortalized in artwork.
  10. Nice to see it back. I think I took a year's break on mine too between starting and finishing it.
  11. Excellent progress. Looks great.
  12. I guess that applies to me too. I'm definitely in on both counts.
  13. I would have been 4 years old so definitely wasn't on my radar then. I've only ever managed to build a single Lanc and that was the old Revell 1/72 Dambusters one.
  14. That's a lot of resin. And AM too.
  15. Someone's got to do all the hard work for the rest of us.
  16. For a moment, I thought you were going to do a double build. Between the fuselage vents and the Sutton harness, it looks like they will do an FAA release. There's also the fact that the only Allied soldier honoured with a memorial on Japanese soil flew the Corsair when he won the VC posthumously.
  17. On a more serious note, Toronto will be back under a lockdown as of Monday 12:01am. No dining out in restaurants or even on a patio, no in-store shopping, no gyms, no malls. For 4 weeks starting Monday. Schools are being left open at least. Here's the kicker. The neighbouring suburbs to the west and north of us are permitted to stay open. There's nothing to stop someone driving there and doing their shopping/dining/socializing/virus spreading except for maybe their sense of responsibility. They did the same thing earlier in the year and that's exactly what folks did-went where they could what they wanted. So how is it different this time except that the businesses here are basically going to get wiped out while their counterparts stay open. All because of awhere they are on a map.
  18. He's got a penis in his ear! No wonder this is spreading, we've been doing it wrong.
  19. Thanks for sharing the photos. Fun to see that group of early Stealth fighter models. Brings back memories of when those first came out.
  20. I've got the Griffin PR set as well. That came in about 6 months ago. I missed out on the U-Model figures as I can't find them anywhere. I do have the Italeri set and I see there's some on Shapeways so might get those.
  21. Hannants- has some listed for the Zero. https://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?product_category_id=0&product_division_id=0&scale_id=953&product_type_id=2826&manufacturer_id=0&search_direction=asc&keyword_search=A6m
  22. Up to your usually high standards I see.
  23. Here we go! That's a lot of bubble wrap for one model... Just kidding. Underneath is the biggie Man, I think I ordered this last year. Guess it's good I wasn't in a rush.
  24. Ooh, hadn't thought of one of those.
