  1. Ok, here what the instructions say: And in Aircraft Pictorial F4U-1 Corsair Vol 2, she's a Goodyear built Corsair IV or FG-1A. I can't find if she should have the standard US pilot harness or the British Sutton one (similar to the Spitfire). My guess is that it should be the Sutton harness which Tamiya includes on the PE fret.
  2. I'll check my set when I'm home in a couple hours and see if there's any info. Carl
  3. Cool project. Both the 1/24 and the 1/1. RP Tools makes a jig that helps you bend wire into matching handles. Might be worth checking out. Carl
  4. Congrats on the wins. Lovely builds especially your approach with the Mig. Carl
  5. Well, I finally finished something. Or at least I'm almost there. I just have to decide on the gun barrel. If I use a later two piece barrel, I'll still need to camouflage the tank. It'll end up looking closer to the one I built previously. Or I can use the earlier single piece barrel and leave it in the dunkelgelb its currently finished in. I'm leaning towards this option as it'll look different from the other one and we'll, I'll be pretty much done.
  6. Gus, thankfully Zoe has always gotten along with cats. Even before I had cats. The cats came with Sue. Our other cat is the Alpha in the house and it's always funny to watch Zoe defer to Fursnake. Sunny is a much more cuddly cat and likes sleeping with Zoe.
  7. Ok, just looked it up in Dana Bell's book. He says the Corsair IV could be either a -1A or a -1D. So that answers that. Carl
  8. Nice choice John. I've got those in the stash. I'm planing to cut and paste them into 115 from Formidable. One thing though, it's a Corsair IV which I believe would be a -1D instead of a -1A. Maybe double check which one? Carl
  9. Awesome work there. How to make a crashed planes look like art.
  10. Meanwhile, someone's keeping me company. Or someones I should say.
  11. Thanks Harv! Been working on it a bit tonight. Got some weathering done.
  12. Working away on the Jagdpanther.
  13. That looks really good. Glad to see you stuck with it and got it done. Carl
  14. Jeroen, the wheels look great. I like seeing how folks tackle the same thing but in different ways. I usually paint the tire first and then the hub so seeing you do the opposite is nice.
  15. I haven't tried Vallejo tape yet. Maybe try the Mr Masking tape from Gunze? BNA seems to have that in stock. I found Blue Dolphin masking tape at the local housepaint shop. I've used it on some builds with no issues. Best part it was less than $10 for an inch wide roll. Carl
  16. The Hasegawa F4 is a very nice build. I did one earlier this year and enjoyed it. Nice and simple. Carl
  17. I think Beaver-oo works better. At least it sounds better.
  18. Well, as long as the keep the Aussie tail markings. We could add a beaver to the kangaroo maybe....
  19. Impressive looking wheelbays. Or at least what's left of them.
  20. Decals. Clear coat, no clear coat. Microsol, Solvaset, or Mr Mark Softer. Wet cloth. Kit ones or AM. Doesn't matter what I try, I almost always end up with some silvering. Which is one reason I like masks so much. Especially for things like roundels. Carl
  21. Definitely some great photos there. I wonder if any of those Hornets are headed our way. Carl
  22. Rob, those figures look really good. Carl
  23. A bit of progress on the Jagdpanther.
