Martinnfb
Beautiful work Jeroen, It's a shame, that you had to deal with such a setback due the Trumpeter's mistake.

Administrators JeroenPeters Posted September 17, 2018 Author Administrators Share Posted September 17, 2018 Working on small exterior details now. I’d rather put them on after the camo painting but it will be hard to blend them in afterwards. Also bought the vac form canopy so i can cut and use the roof windows that will be posed open.

GusMac
I do like the Maketar masks although the roundels can be fiddly. Those are fairly simple ones though so hopefully all will be well.

Having them used several times, the only thing I noticed is, that in order to get the contours sharp and bubble free, you have to 'rub' them on and they stick very good. If you haven't properly primed or use fragile colours, I recommend to 'detack' them a little on the back of your hand, except you have hairy Werwolf like paws . Administrators JeroenPeters Posted September 22, 2018 Author Administrators Share Posted September 22, 2018 Working on the engines. I noticed that the mkX has a double inlet tube on the front of the exhaust shroud. These tubes were for cockpit heating. I removed the blunt single Trumpeter stump and drilled out 2 holes. I then cut 4 aluminium tubes and glued them in.
Peterpools
Jeroen Thumbs up on the canopy masking - so nicely done. A big thumbs up on the cockpit heating inlet tubes on the cowling - it’s those small details that add up in a bug way.
