Members Mikester Posted November 10, 2018 Members Posted November 10, 2018 that's going to be impressive! 4
DocRob Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 Looks great Martin, I've hoped for a decent Hellcat in large scale for a long time (Tamiya 1/32, do you hear me), but we might have a contender here. It seems to sport "stressed surfaces" and decent detail and a folded wing option. As longer as I devour the pictures on the Airfix site I can hear a voice in my head, 'buy me'. Can't wait for the R-2800 Double Wasp in this scale. On Airfix.com it's on pre order status. Cheers Rob 4

Drifter Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 This does nothing for me, really. Heck, I would have love a De Havilland 100 Vampire. 3

One side of the plane represent the Hellcat weather beaten with raised gear in flight modus, the other side will sport a folded wing, open cowlings and lowered wheels and a clean state while being maintained on a carrier deck. No idea for the canopy yet , but there is still some time till the F6 hits the shelves. Cheers Rob 2
Bomber_County Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 Pics from the sample at Telford yesterday, available May 2019 I heard to guys saying 6
aderowlands Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Already measured the shelf dimensions in my cabinet versus the kits dimensions. Both wings unfolded is a no go by a small margin, so either both folded or one up and one out. Either way I've placed my order with Airfix. 4
Martinnfb Posted November 14, 2018 Author Posted November 14, 2018 More pictures of the sprues here 4
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted November 14, 2018 Administrators Posted November 14, 2018 I want to do a FAA version, but being that this a -5, or Hellcat 2, my options might be somewhat limited. Comments? 3

1to1scale Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 I must resist...oh, who the hell am I kidding. I’ll be placing an order with Hannants the second they let me. After seeing the internal detail, I am going to build mine as an opened up one side cutaway, but with all the spars and stringers in place and drilled. One wing folded, one wing removed and on a stand with panels removed. Marine guns out for servicing. 3
Peterpools Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 May 2019 ... I'm already counting the days. No question in my mind, will need to buikd at least two: one with every panel open and one all buttoned up. I'm hoping the AM guys are planning a flied day for us. Peter 2
Peterpools Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 Martin Much appreciated the video and keep those photos coming Peter 2
224 Peter Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Mine is on the workbench in front of me. Where do I start? I think I'll jump in with the engine, then go back to the beginning..... 3
