GazzaS
Hi everyone! Casting away the chains of both historical and movie accuracy I decided to build this bird as the pieces came to me either from inspiration or out of the box. I took about 50 photos today and only about 10 came out as acceptable. And here they are: Thank you for looking! Gaz
BlrwestSiR
Wait, that's a model?!!! Amazing work there Gaz. Still can't believe I'm looking at a model. Carl 3
Ryan
I agree. we have all seen those posts where someone says "I thought I was looking at a real airplane"....but these shots do look very convincing, esp. the first one. 6

SapperSix
That is really something. A fantastic build indeed. One of these days I will contact you about WW1 builds as I see, very clearly, that you have mastered many related techniques. 3

Martinnfb
How could I missed out? I know nothing about rigging and wallpaper decorations, but this looks very realistic. Hats off to you Gas. Really nice! Cheers Martin

HubertB
Really nice result, and a great tribute to your craftsmanship and devotion to get things right . Funny personal feeling I want to share : I know this build is triggered by the Blue Max movie, but a WWI German single seater with the fuselage covered in hexagonal fabric just looks odd to my eyes. Interesting how we get into fixed cultural representations of things ... Anyway, great work and result ! Hubert 2

The only thing missing is Stachel............. wow man, that is great , and your photo work seals the deal, it looks so real, especially the close up of the cockpit section..... I am MORE than impressed, and built at lightning speed too............you have lit a flame in me to get back to my SE 5 and give it a go.......... take a bow, you well deserve it...... nice job! I can understand how you feel about the fuselage looking strange. Interestingly, though the first Albatros D.V prototype had a lozenge covered fuselage. Administrators Clunkmeister Posted May 28, 2019 Administrators Share Posted May 28, 2019 Good grief, Gazz! That look phenomenal! I’ve been building WW1 stuff for years, and even today, my stuff doesn’t come out that nice. 1

DocRob
One week away from LSM and there is the great photo finish of your gorgeous Pfalz. I love the rigging and the way the Lozenge came out. In the time you finished yours, I haven't been able to get on the path with mine . Cheers Rob
