I always paint in subassemblies.  Ever since doing 1/32nd WWI Kits, you have to paint in sub assemblies, makes it much easier.  You did a lot of nice work on the interior of this model, too bad that it's all buttoned up.  Still, nice work.

Hi James,

It looks like you’re not including any side blisters on either side of the canopy. Why not?

The period photos show S-Sugar with them.

They'll be added later, once the masking is removed. It was just easier masking without them fitted.

BTW, love your Norden bombsight. I'll be using it for a future mag project.

Makes sense.

Thanks

I'm still slogging on with this thing.

Here you can see it minus black paint on one wing (ran out of a black to mix the colour), but this is the first time I put the whole thing together.

It's big. VERY big, and I really can't wait to be done with it and to clear my bench.
About a week to go now. Needs finishing and weathering etc.

What an awesome build, James. The first one finished?

OK, I was checking out your interior pretty S.C. as well to compare it with the postwar Canadian SAR Birds...

If mine turns out half as nice I’ll be happy.

Cheers guys. A nice model, not without faults, but it does fit together well.

Time needs to be spent correcting the various errors and omissions along the way.

And yes....just one photo ;)
