Hi Carl.

Do you have the link? I also have a Star Destroyer!! :D

Fran, the parts arrived today. Thought you'd like to see what they look like:

These are the first bits I've orders from Falcon 3D but I'll definitely have to consider their figures for my Bandai 1/72 Falcon now.

Holy cow!  I didn't want to stray into any new subjects of models like Star Wars, but man, I might have to reconsider after seeing the pictures above.

The Bandai kits are absolutely fantastic. If they ever decide to do something not sci-fi related, the big boys will be quaking in their boots.

Good to know Carl.  Any recommended places to find them?  HLJ?

HLJ isn't allowed to sell them overseas. It was part of the original C&D that was issued by Disney over where the kits could be sold due to licensing. As I mentioned, it's change since then.

Culttvmanshop.com is a good place. They specialize in sci-fi kits. I bought my PG Falcon from them (the one Smitty just got). I know folks have bought them at Hobby Lobby too. I've even picked some up from Amazon but those can take a bit longer to arrive.

OK, blame Hubert and Ernie for this one.

Never done a big resin conversion, just used stuff like cockpits and exhausts, so I thought I'd try this. It's the Scaleworx conversion for the Atlas Cheetah E from John Wiedeman. Casting is lovely and hopefully the surgery required isn't too difficult.

Inspired by Hubert's aversion to anything with camouflage the plan is to do this

Before anyone comments I know the original airframe with this paint job was a Cheetah C but I defy anyone to notice the difference at 2 feet!

Nice and shiny so should save a bit of time on weathering as well.

Nice one! I just email Scaleworx the other day about the 2 seater Cheetah D conversion. I'll have to get that once it's out.

I always thought the Kfir looked good. Then I saw the Cheetah...

Hi Carl

John was very easy to deal with and the package took just over 6 weeks from SA to my house which I didn't think was too bad in the current circumstances.

The castings are flawless and the detail is excellent. Nice, funky blue resin as well!

Cheers, Gus

I didn’t get this but Harvey said I should post it here as it was really interesting!                    it is a 1/1 scale Ban Dai kit!

Tamiya makes some cake decorating models so just one more niche category.

As long as no one mistakes for the real thing.

Not sure it wouldn't actually taste better than the real thing!

Let us know how they work ....harv

Harv, they are awesome, like Phil mentions............. I bought two of them, one set is a Dispae, and the other is a Trumpeter one, both are fantastic.............. I asked Carl if he thought they were worth it and he was the guy who convinced me to buy them... I'm very glad I took his advice... they make taking small brittle part off the sprue very easy and comfortable, but as Carl mentioned, apparently don't drop them .... and Yeah, Phil, let us know what you think full on... I love mine..
