Can you do me a favor..............some pics of the plastic?

OK, I normally just chuck new kits into the stash without looking inside but here goes.

Here's what you see when you open the box

aOK8U1.jpg

Then two plastic bags with the plastic parts inside, here's bag 1.

Bag 2

And a Correction booklet

Painting and decal guide

Mind blowing smoke ring decals, all numbered

And the main decal sheet.

Looks pretty pretty comprehensive to me but then again I am not an expert as far as Italian subjects are concerned and after three PCM builds on the run it looks pretty Astral Overdrive to me.

Cheers

Eduard 1/48 Wilder Cat FM-2. Looks to be a very nice kit with decals for 10 aircraft. Just might be my next build as I've wanted a good kit of the FM-2 for a long time. Would be great if they'd issue it in 1/32 too! :)

Today an accessory kit for my Tamiya M40 kit....

It's Tamiya's 1/35 Scale U.S. M40 Metal Gun Barrel Set. (12670).

Looks good; with a turned aluminium barrel (rifled), ten turned brass projectiles, and even has a sheet of decal markings to add to the rounds.

This set is hard to find.....but I found one on the King's Hobbies website.

Now I won't have to fill and sand the seams of that long kit barrel!

Looks like a great kit. I Imagine adding all those numbered smoke ring

circles will be a bit tiresome, but it's an interesting solution......

Isn’t that Operation Torch a highly sought after kit?  Man, you stole that kit.  I’d have been all over that one too.

Good question there Scott. I know they're getting hard to find these days but the decals are missing (not that I'd use them) so maybe that's one reason it was so cheap?

Well, a trip to my local Ace Hardware resulted in this purchase;

Tamiya's  Douglas A-1H Skyraider U.S.Navy (61058) in 1/48 scale.

Surprised to see it there.....looks like a nice kit despite having some

age to it.

I was happy to see that Waukegan will be hosting an air show on

Sept. Ninth this year after being canceled for "Lifestyle changes" last

Year........high fuel costs, most probably, although fuel costs are up again.

Anyway, some Skyraiders will be featured this year. Also the website says

there'll be A 10 warthogs ...that'll be cool , their last appearances were

memorable!

It seems to be missing one of the part #36 (upper right hand corner of PE fret). Has anyone inspected theirs?

Just checked mine and mine is fine the missing piece is sledgehammer shaped.

Nice going - just love anything from the Iron Works Gang. I'm assuming all the newer Eduard kits have the decals where the carrier film can be removed. I'm just wondering if the decals are marked in any way to know for sure, as I haven't seen it on any of the Eduard kits I have purchased recently.

Just have to get the finger out and finish the PCM Re 2005 now that my vision is back to normal.

It looks like the TBD is THE hit of the year (as is Airscale’s set), judging by the number of members having bought it. If only this could encourage other manufacturers to tread off the trodden-to-death highways of WWII single seat fighters ;)
