I received my P-38H from Tamiya.   Damn I wish this thing was in 32ND!!!!!!!  Also included in the photo is my P-38F that I built right when the kit came out

Both are real lookers, great work on the F. I own the regular kit as well and will build it as a G-version with AM-decals.

Cheers Rob

Well this is kinda funny in a way I guess.

Great Hobbies got in some Wingnut kits yesterday so I took a look at what they had. I figured I'd get a Camel. Turns out I grabbed the wrong boxing and didn't notice until I received the shipping notice in the evening.

At least there's a Camel in the box. Although now that I have it, the LVG looks kinda cool too.

On the weekend, I picked up a couple of books I had on backorder at my local ...

And then today ... this big box arrived ...

oRKUVXA.jpg

It's my BIG 1/16 Panther Ausf.G Late ...

kZAtjFI.jpg

And for scale ... the customary turret shot ...

ohDTznP.jpg

I have another BIG Tank inbound ... and some metal barrels ... and then I'll decide which of these suckers I'm going to try to build.

Today my next BIG Tank arrived ...

Supplied by Gazza via trade ...

If anyone seeks to trade with him at any point - do so with confidence ... the way this thing was packaged, it would've survived Hiroshima!!

This discontinued Pz.38(t) by Panda could have probably had the tooling maximised by creating an early war boxing (Ausf.B) ... or the later Panzerjäger 38(t) 'Hetzer'.

And ... of course there's the customary turret shot

I've had a look thanks!! ...

There's a fair asking price for a lot of that stuff ... and that set costs way more than the tank itself.

Don't get me wrong - I might just jump at a couple of figurines ... If I can find out how to buy!! ...

Jeff Shiu's web page advertises prices ... but there's no cart??

Today I received a lot of small stuff mostly for WW1 projects.

But first of all, I got a Uschi van der Rosten Jigster, a tool which was unavailable for years. I tried to buy one in my Belin years and failed, but now these little precision tools are available again. It came packed well oiled, like a piece of machinery and is made fur cutting or grinding all kind of rods and tubes in a precise angle of 45 or 90 degrees. The rectangular cutouts can be used to exactly angle for example tin parts, foils or plastic sheets.
The two circular holes are for fixing the Jigster on a bench with two bolts, while securing with the side screws, or to put an angular rod in to as a stop angle to lengthen multiple parts evenly.
I will use it for a lot of brass work, mainly struts for WW1 planes and as a third hand for soldering precisely and yes I'm a tool nerd .

Some AM for my Clerget Camel

IMG_7489.thumb.JPG.282cef20da5208282d1dbe535199ff4f.JPG

The Lukgraph engine will be used in either a  Roden Fokker DR. 1, a Micro Mir Fokker E.V / D.VIII or said Clerget Camel. It depends on the quality of the kit engine and the fit under the cowling.
Some turnbuckles, firstly resin ones and 1/48 for me and an IP and Manifold for my Albatros D.V and last but not least, a set of resin wheels for my Scammell.

Mine too, Gaz. Did you get the one with the MvR bust?

I ordered mine from Sprue Brothers, They were due yesterday. Apparently, due to covid, UPS had to ship them from Kansas City to Fort Worth, past Houston to San Antonio, then back to Houston for delivery. Seems like efficient routing.

I just got the regular one, Bill.  My figure painting is pretty horrible and best hidden in smaller figs.
