Peterpools Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Ernie The "extra" set of controls look mighty good. Of course, back in the day, most mechanics surely knew how to 'wing it' Keep 'em comin Peter 3

Administrators Clunkmeister Posted April 28, 2019 Author Administrators Posted April 28, 2019 Here’s what we’re looking to achieve. 5
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted April 28, 2019 Author Administrators Posted April 28, 2019 Well, it certainly isn’t perfect, but it’s a start. Through the Perspex, it’ll look the part, I suppose. 14
BlrwestSiR Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 I think that's more than adequate there Ernie. Looks just like in the pic. Carl 4
Bomber_County Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Stormin alone now Ernie, the duals look the part.... 5
seiran01 Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Some dayglo inspiration for ya Ern - Lanc 10DC air-to-air videos at 4:45 and 10:15. I know yours won't be slinging Firebees, but it's the first video I've seen of Canadian Lancasters. 4
Bill_S Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Looks awesome, Ernie! Mine's intimidating me right now. 4

Drone controller, SAR bird, Maritime Patrol, ASW Patrol, photo mapping, etc. FM104 shows as a rescue ship, but according to her history, she was mostly a Maritime Patrol ship. No drones from this one, though. That video almost looks like Edwards. Definitely the Southwest. 4
Jeff Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Somewhat rare to see roundels on the bottom of the wings too........................... huh.............. 4

Administrators Clunkmeister Posted May 3, 2019 Author Administrators Posted May 3, 2019 Thanks, Mark!! Now to the turret shells. Front is painted over, rear turret is an empty observation shell. 4
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted May 3, 2019 Author Administrators Posted May 3, 2019 Can anyone familiar with the Mk.X tell me if the reinforcement doubler plates on the fuselage top by the Martin Turret is a single piece, or two pieces, one on each side? 3
Jeff Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 One piece I'd say................ this is on 'our' Lanc at Nanton Alberta.....FM159 which was a rescue Lanc.... 3
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted May 3, 2019 Author Administrators Posted May 3, 2019 I can't tell if that double wraps around to the other side or is a gusset below the turret, Jeff. I think I almost see an upper edge, but then on the far side of the turret, there's a definite double skin there. FYI, Mike Swinburne 3D printed me that scoop, and it's way, WAY better than the kit part. The kit part almost seems too flat and featureless. Mike's part has much more bulk to it and certainly is a much better representation of the real thing. 2
Jeff Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 I will try to dig further...... but from the pics I have seen it is one piece each side...... although I could be mistaken....

Ok, that’s what I need. Two pieces total. One for each side, which is what I thought at first. I was worried that is was one big wrap around over the top piece. 1
