calumet Posted July 18, 2021 Posted July 18, 2021 ......once upon a time there were 3 Jackstands..... but read yourself ...so i made this in the belief it's ok now.... ...but still the whole arrangement yelled meh... this is boring we want something to connect to... So i ended up with this.... ...last but not least the guys from the maintenance crew installed some cowlings... ...almost nothing will be seen from the cockpit once snuggled in so some pics before i put it in.. So i've learnt my lesson and i don't think that i will be that naive a second time, doing 3 Jackstands and believing to get away with it.... BTW the Camouflage & Markings of my Bf 109 for this build are fictitious Since i normally do smaller scales that's my first build here on LSM Base kit Revell & good amount of scratch parts and some Eduard Resin All the best Hans 16 2

DocRob Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 Great build and presentation. The standout to me is the very believable material rendition and wear. Cheers Rob 4
calumet Posted July 19, 2021 Author Posted July 19, 2021 Thank you fellow modelers for your great comments! Cheers Hans 4
HubertB Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 +1 ! (But you have presented the left wing with the trailing edge leading and the leading edge trailing, says Mr Nitpicker ) Hubert PS: plus it's also upside down. The mechanics with have a hard time puttying all this into an acceptable airframe, not to mention the touchy taxying and taking-off on one wheel 3 1

Administrators Clunkmeister Posted September 13, 2021 Administrators Posted September 13, 2021 So the moral of the story is? Don’t fool yourself into building support equipment without something to support? Either way, it resulted in a gorgeous build. I’m quite impressed the maintenance crew didn’t pull the engine and gut the cockpit of all useable equipment. That wouldn’t have been nice 2
calumet Posted September 13, 2021 Author Posted September 13, 2021 Yep this was drawing the lesson the hard way...😁 ...thanks, appreciate Mate 2
