Wumm Posted February 9, 2021 Share Posted February 9, 2021 Someone (not Smitty) deserves to have their a** handed to them over that one. For starters, fragile light boxes should ship in the centre of pallets, with the harder rigid cartons on the outside providing integrity for the load. Secondly, there are angles that should be used underneath strapping, to spread the force along the corners and stop damage immediately under the strapping. Unfortunately Hobbyzone no longer ships to Canada from the US and ordering from Poland pretty much doubles the price. The shelves are around $20-30 depending on where you get them from. They're made by Hobbyzone too. The Tamiya version holds 54 bottles to a rack and the Vallejo ones 60. They have one for the Ammo/Mig washes as well which would also fit the Xtreme Metal bottles. Not a big deal as it still worked, just looked a bit...limp. Then he over discharged it and blew up the LiPo battery it uses. So I found the same one in stock at a nearby RC hobby shop and ordered a new one for him. Which he had to pay for. I took advantage and padded the order with some stuff for me to get free shipping. Stuff for the Firefly currently on the bench. A Stug after watching Gaz work on his. I've never built a T-54( or is it a T-55?) before and at $70 Loonies, hard to pass up. I can't believe how crammed the box is though. That's a lot of sprues... I added a razor saw, to have something between a scalpel and my fine saw for resin and possibly future woodwork along with a mini mitre tool.
