Hi folks,

So I met with the surgeon today and have been told I'll be joining the zipper chest club tomorrow morning. The triple bypass should be about 3 hours long and then off to recovery I go. Then it's 5-7 days here before discharge and home for another 6 weeks of recovery.

Which means I should be as good as new in time for Christmas.

I'll let you all know once I'm functional after the operation.

See you all soon.

Thanks guys! My dad had a triple bypass after his third heart attack and that was 22 years ago. He's still with us and doing fine.

Off to bed for me so I'll update you all soon

You'll be in our thoughts and prayers, Carl.

You’ll be on the mend and back to normal soon enough, so take it easy and do everything exactly as the medical team request.

That way, you don’t have Nurse Ratched smack the side of your head too often.

:D

Good to see you positive before .... and you have already some experience of what it's like after the op.

So wishing you a speedy recovery, and great times when this cloud will have cleared your skies.

Hey Carl, I am a member of the zipper chest club! (stroke at 18 and 30 linked to a hole in the heart.)

You don't realize how much you rely on the chest till it's healing.

The worst for me was coughing and sneezing, the rest is well rest.

Good luck to you man.

I have yet to see that movie.

For as evil as she was, she was pretty darned cute.

When she smiled.

Which wasn’t often.

That's a nurse to be scared off. If you hear the eek, eek, eek from her rubber soles on the linoleum, you know what fear is.

A quick update guys. The operation went well. I'm on the road. to recovery still at the moment.

The incision hurts like hell when I cough all I'm trying to do that at little as possible

No nurse Ratchads thankfully. Just a bunch of Asian cuties.

Talk soon and thanks for all the well wishes.
